starting to see modest slowing on the 101, the 10 westbound. there's delays in both directions on the 17 and the 10 eastbound. 40 still closed in both directions, the detour is between flagstaff and williams. its a long detour including the 180 and the 64 so hold off on travel until we say it's open >> thank you for the heads up new this morning, two people are in critical condition avenue in glendalement a fire captain tells united states that a man and woman were shot and rushed to a trauma center this morning, a man is extreme critical condition after someone shot him multiple times. it happened in the ranch market parking lot near 35th avenue in glendale. police have not released any suspect information in this case phoenix police are investigating a shooting at a popular restaurant.

and is in critical condition and new this morning, a family is very lucky they were not hit by a car that ran into their home overnight. a teacher, her husband and their two daughters got the scare of a lifetime overnight. jen is live near the scene. nothing short of a miracle that no one was hurt there? reporter: absolutely, incredible, matt. the husband was asleep in the master bom when this car slammed into the house. let's show you what happened giving you a play by play. you can see crews are working on the power pole still. this is where the car came speeding down the highway, knocked over power poles, trash cans and then jammed through this street, through these cinder blocks here, tire tracks in the front yard that i might add that was just freshly redone with grass, into the wall of this home.

inside this home, a teacher was grading papers when she heard a loud noise outside. she was concerned a car was going to slam into a home in her neighborhood because she says this has happened before but she never imagined that it would happen to her home. the car came from the alley way, then sped across the street into her front yard blasting through her master bedroom, asleep inside the bedroom. she says he was going to get up and use the restroom but decided not to. if he had done that, things could have been much worse. >> that is one incredible story. still looking for the driver at this point. coming your way today, chelsea clinton will be at'su. she'll take part in a get out the vote rally where you are looking live now.

let's get a quick check of the traffic. reporter: what did somebody say about driving on the 60, they might be on to something. >> easier said than done. >> you can see this is one of a few crashes this morning that's pretty close to i-106789 there's this one, there's -- ten. there's this one, there's another within nearby and the one blocking the hov ramp to the 10. let's take you on a virtual drive, if you're about to hop on the 60, you' brakes at gilbert road but we're going to give you your time. to get to the 10, it's going to cost you ten minutes. i'd say call it 20 minutes to downtown. i saw that stretch up to about mill at one point. looks like not too bad hopping on to ten and then slowing as you hit downtown. i would say give yourself 20 minutes if you're starting at

there's another crash, thankfully these are all off to the side but rubber neckers will hit the brakes and slow down. everybody's feeling the crunch of rush hour from the 101 to the 51 to the 17. by the 8:00 hour, we're talking red zone for either end of the 10, hit and miss on the 101, 51 as well, e also for the 17 southbound, there's kind of a long stretch of that orange zone so speedses dropping into the 30s and 20s. >> you know, we're looking at some clouds, trying to find some clouds up in the north. this is a live look from the national weather service up in belmont. this is their live camera that they have. not a cloud in the sky. great conditions up there. it looks cold. i wonder how cold it is up there.
