they had to go get snoop. >> i bawled. >> reporter: snoop's saga began in june when he disappeared from the family's backyard. saturday, someone spotted him on the woman's property around the corner. at first, the elder limb woman living there denied the dog was snoop, but eventually confessed it was. >> i really think he was taken. nothing was down. >> reporter: for the most part, snoop appears to be in good health but had patches of missing hair and sores on his face and body. the dog had to be forcibly removed. she denied stealing snoop and defended keeping him saying she tried to find his owners but didn't see the missing posters and wasn't aware the family was looking for him. she is facing possible theft charges but that is not what the family wanted. >> i didn't want anything bad to happen to the woman. that's all i wanted was to get my dog back. that's really all i wanted. >> reporter: there are people

>> reporter: tim cornwell is the arizona high school debate coach of the year known for molding teens into solid debaters. >> hillary is a politician. she is a seasoned debater. but donald trump is a businessman used to negotiating. is that obvious to you when you look at the way they interact to each other? >> absolutely. the give and take there is very obvious it is a little bit different. donald trump likes to get his voice out there. he is used to talking over people and arguing and in his wrong. >> reporter: but this time around, cornwell thinks trump's coaches did a good job of working on his demeanor. >> much, much better than he was doing in the previous debates. >> do you think his debate coaches needed some of that tape like in a football game? they needed tape of him debating to know where his faults were to change them? >> yeah. absolutely. they can look at them and analyze them and show them to him. look, here is what you are doing wrong. let's not do this. >> you would rather show your

debate than the previous two? >> absolutely. they are just using better strategy overall. it is ... and i think maybe they have some experience with each other and they kind of know how the give and take is going to go. it is kind of like my students. they get a couple of debates under their belt and they get better because they are experienced. this experience has helped them maybe got them to listen to their coaches a little more too. >> but she has had many debates and this is donald trump's third presidential. he had a couple in the >> uh-huh. >> and he has come a long way. >> he has. she is a professional arguer if you want to use that term, it's funny. but, he has definitely grown a lot in how he is presenting his rhetoric. >> reporter: cornwell is in the weighing in on who won. that is up for discussion. but does feel like we finally as an american public, saw a healthy debate and it is good for everyone who is still trying to make up their minds.

controversy continues in scottsdale where a man wearing a zombie clown mask robbed a convenient store. he threatened the cashier with a hatchet demanding cash and came back. later, and then stole cigarettes along with other merchandise. all right, well, no beast mode for the seahawks and coop, marshawn lynch used to terrorize the cardinals when he now, he is enjoying retirement and the cards are enjoying him enjoying retirement. >> no doubt about it. without the beast mode, the seahawks are passing more and running less. but, cameron cox tells us, it's the cardinals' running game that will be key to victory. >> they beat the [bleep] out of us. >> reporter: two losses being outscored 105-34. so what's the problem? >> they scored a lot more points than we did.

>> here is some more hot headlines across the country tonight. first, eight people were injured in a gas explosion in portland, oregon this morning. authorities say a contractor doing work in the area ruptured a gas line and reported the leak. fire crews responded and evacuated the building. about 20 minutes before it blew up. eight firefighters were inside but lived through the blast. this story is unbelievable. a texas mother says she was

[ laughter ] all right, let's just switch and talk about, weather now. and, it was a nice day out there. it was a little bit warm though i will admit. 93 degrees. so, we are about three degree above the norm this time of the year, but the mornings at least are pretty much right on target. 65 was the morning low. 64 is where we should be. today's record lows, the coldest morning ever on this day. 40 degrees. set back in 1917. the record high for today is 101. all right, let's take a look a across our nation. these were the highs today. we had temperatures still very warm and in the 90s from corpus christi up to dallas and jackson. but that is all about to change. take a look as we have got a cold front there in a line of showers an storms that extend from just north of dallas all the way up into portions of ohio there. so, right now, no severe weather with that. we have a little bit of app issue with some flooding in some areas. but, overall, it will be a nice
