at uop stadium. the game goes into overtime and what would have been a chip shot field goal. it hit the upright and missed. seattle marches back down the field. they have a chance to win it on a chip shot field goal and they miss it. the game winds up finishing in a 6-6 tie, an unbelievable game and the only team it hurts is the cardinals because now they have one all that ground on the seattle seahawks. >> reporter: absolutely, mark. i think it's safe to say we're all a little numb and a lot of the fans left the same way i think, but who has the best scoop? let's go see what the guys have to say. what a game. >> reporter: it's a game i've never seen anything like this. >> reporter: i'm still looking at that scoreboard 6-6. >> reporter: this is what's

cardinal players and fans themselves. the cardinals time and time again control the clock and move the ball up and down the field. four times in regulation they move inside the seahawks 30- yard line but yet only had three points on that scoreboard and yet seattle didn't get into cardinals territory until they blocked the punt in the 4th quarter and yet they can walk off the field 6- locker room, what were they saying? what was the mood? >> reporter: it was a very depressing locker room, kind of disbelief, no one sure how to digest this game. a lot of them wanted to keep playing despite it being such a physical game. they put up over 400 yards total offense, just could never punch it in. what we saw in overtime, coop,

they held seattle to just 47 total yards in the 1st half. i believe cardinals outgained them by 200 total yards. they had 20 more minutes on the field than seattle. all the stats in the world. offense didn't play bad. they just didn't make enough plays when it mattered. to know that it's just 6-6 is what's so tough to digest. >> reporter: they just couldn't finish. they'd drive up and down the field, control the clock but couldn't finish. we talked about it, four times inside the seahawks on the scoreboard. >> reporter: it's been their m.o. all year, coop. rough night for the cardinals and here's how it sounded. >> and our kicking game let us down a little bit today. or you didn't lose, but you played one hell of a football game. he touched them. did you see it?

on special teams. offensively we got to score points. >> we just got to move on from it. we had a great week of preparation. hopefully we can have another great week of preparation moving on to the carolina panthers. >> reporter: i like the fact that the cardinals are trying to say they had cat back. you get paid to make those kicks a high school kick are would make is and while cantanzaro may be contrite and say i have to make this kick or whatever, cameron, the home season opener on the very same end of the field he missed a field goal that could have given the cardinals a season opening win over the patriots. all right. fans say we'll put that one behind us. cam, this one real in excusable and that's why so many fans out in the parking lot leaving were talking about it.
