taking a look at your hot headlines... i-17 north of the valley moving smoothly this morning after a crash involving 24 cars and trucks closed the southbound lanes near black canyon city for about 8 hours. highway patrol says a tractor pulling a cattle trailer-- failed to slow down-- rear-ending and side-swiping 23 cars. medics-- took 17 people to the hospital-- four by air with moderate to serious injuries. still no word on why the truck driver didn't stop. a 3-year-old in surprise is in the hospital this morning after a dresser fell on herye airlifted in critical condition. statistics show toppling furniture in the home causes dozens of deaths to children each year in the u.s. family and friends came together to raise money for the victims of a murder- suicide. people came out to contribute to funeral costs of the two young girls killed by their father in the far west valley. he also took his own life. the victim's mother carmen arismendez divorced her husband this summer and had filed an order of protection in the past. we've put a link the

news dot com. a florence woman -- already charged for conspiracy to commit terrorism -- has a new case involving more possible terrorism against her this morning. team 12's nico santos is live in the newsroom with details... nico... there was there was already a plea deal involving michelle bastian's previous charges. she'll be in front of a judge again today for these new charges. according to court documents... bastian and her husband planned to kill people in the prison -- including the investigators believe she sent ?thomas bastian ?terror- related documents... by disguising them as legal paperwork. thomas is serving a murder sentence.. arizona attorney general's office agents served bastian warrants at her work in chandler and florence. the search came up with letters from thomas to michelle. he wanted her to send him "al-qaida" and "isil" terrorist and "isil" terrorist publications. the department of corrections also searched thomas's cell phone. they found some of those publications. they say

13 people were killed and 31 others were injured -- including five critically. early reports indicate speed was likely a factor. the bus was headed to l-a from the red earth casino in salton city when the crash happened. gas prices are finally falling after a two-month spike. according to the lundberg report -- the national average pump price dropped nearly four cents to 2-25 per gallon. officials say oil prices have been edging up in the past nt passed the price hikes through into the gasoline market. they also believe a seasonal slip in consumer demand has allowed gas prices to dip. in arizona... the current average is $2.16 a gallon. phoenix's current average is at 2.12... in flagstaff it's 2.38 and in tucson -- drivers are paying 2.02 a gallon. ahead on 12 today.... it was a huge let down for cardinals
