this is part of move over awareness week. it's a simple thing to do. i want to bring troy in here. you have actually seen this and experienced it firsthand. >> yes. my company has been in exist anyone else arizona for 63 years, and three years ago, i had a driver killed in the live of duty. he was with our company years. so it's quite a shock, and several years ago through aaa helped to get a law passed that included all vicks with flashing lights, which could be a light and a car broke down. so move over to they're not in danger. >> reporter: and it's a simple thing to too, again, just move over that one lane. we have a museum, and a special

>> it's the national towing and recovery museum located in chattanooga, tennessee, and we have a memorial wall, and also houses our survivor fund, but that wall is where we memorialize those killed in the line of duty. this year we put 22 names on that wall. last year we put 36, is over year it is this event today is part of that process of raising awareness. and i'm so proud of all of these towing companies out here today. this is great. >> reporter: and we want that number to be be zero that they have to add to that wall. the weather outside is perfect for this event right now. look at temperatures around the state. 69 in phoenix right now.

people. it seems like you drive far out east or west, and there's just new homes popping up all the time. i >> and even new construction layered in with so many building permits issued last year and continuing on, we're seeing toothth the new construction homes are really diving into that piece of business that the resale homes used to be be getting, and now we're losing some of that to new construction. it used to be when you were trying to decide how to list your home for sale, you would look at the comps in your area in terms of other resales. now you also need to look at what can somebody buy in terms of new construction in your area that you are also competing with, and you want to make sure you're in line with the resales in your neighborhood, and the new construction that is coming.

do do people want to see your stuff, or envision what their home could look like? >> well, i recommend go take a look at a new construction, and take a look he at their model homes, and see what you can get your home to too to be somewhat is reflective obvious that feeling,, so yes, the more declutterring you can do, the bet television the more staging you can too, the better. when you walk into a model home, you see nicely decorated homes, but not a lot of pictures and not too many things on tableles. you open up the pantry, and th in it. it feels spacious, open, inviting, and clutter fry. it used to be that staging just had a couple of purposes. one was to show the space and how it could be used, and two was to distract and cover up. you want to make sure that your space is good, room to walk, nothing is cluttered. but you also want to make sure that it just gives you that open and inviting feeling, just

some people would think about, repairs and cleanliness. you don't want to get a new home and be, like, oh, the stove is broken. >> exactly. you want to make sure that anything visible is taken occasion of. when you walk in a model home, it's picture perfect. if that's your primary competition, you want to make sure you look as picture perfect as possible, also. so if you have glaring things that people can see, take oc >> maybe the newer home is small wish put maybe your house has more bedrooms, or a pool, do you highlight the differences with something like that? >> absolutely. think one of the biggest benefits to buying a resale home, you have aftermarket costs. for example when you buy a new them to, on of your walls are one color, and it like hire doesn't have a back fence.

scary when somebody is driving by at 70 miles an hour. >> and you have how many calls a day that mean there's driver out there on your road that needs help? >> aaa runs anywhere between 900 and 1,000 calls every single day of the week. so that is an awful lot of people out there on the side of the roadway, whether it's in he a residential area or the highway, people these to slow down and move over. >> reporter: and you guys also created a psa. tell us where they can watch that and what you saw something stunning just on a go pro on a cone. >> that's right. go to aaa's website page. we took a go pro camera put it on the cone, on the white line, and it's amazing the footage you see of people not moving over. >> remember, it is the law to move over and slow down whenever you see those flashing lights. and thatten include no, sir matter the weather.

the roads are still quiet out there this morning, but there are some closures to know about. weir here to help you get around them. >> here is lab at closures you can expect around the valley this weekend, starting off in the east valley. the i-10 westbound will be down to one lane, friday night sat 10:00 p.m., all the way till sunday at 11:00 p.m. and now to grand avenue.

tell us about him? >> franky came to us just earlier this week, and as you can see, he is very scared. he's about five years old. i really think he's one of those chihuahuas that's just kind of been used to living on the streets. he's not really used to human contact. he's very sweet. he's scared, but he's not a fear biter. he hasn't tried to bite or anything. he just freezing when you pick him up. he's frozen now, flinches if i move. so i so i really feel really bad for him. niece not a bad dog. he's just not used to socialization opinion so he would be a good dog for someone willing to let him be a little timed at first and let him come out of his shell on his own 0. i would say no really small kids, just because he is so skittish, but other than that, he would be a great apartment

the kennel when i picked him up this morning, so he is good with other dogs his size. >> and dogs learn from each other, so if he sees a dog, someone who has a small dog? >> exactly. that could help boost his confidence when he's with another dog. and i know he's not, you know, the cute fluffy that everyone wants. >> there's super cute! >> but he really needs a home. i hope someone will fall in love with him, because all he wants is someone know what to do right now. he is at our east valley shelter in mesa. he's available at 11:00, and his adoption fee is just $20. >> and she super cute, frankie here. he came in really skin by they said, so help get him healthy and a good home. >> exactly. >> all right.
