in arizona and texas. while running neck and neck with clinton in georgia. a massive investigation is under way this morning in a search for a missing man after his girlfriend was found alive, chained like a dog inside a metal storage container. the couple went missing in august and authorities in spartanburg, south carolina, inspected the property thursday. after receiving a tip about a sex crime is when they started looking into it. they heard loud banging coming when they found 30-year-old kala brown. >> she's alive and well, and she's obviously traumatized. she told us that she had been locked in that container for two months. >> the landowner and a registered sex offender is now in custody. investigators are searching for the woman's boyfriend, charlie carver, whose car was foun on the property. it gets more complicated and

the country on election day. according to multiple intelligence sources, u.s. officials are deeply concerned about and preparing for some sort of cyber chaos next week. current and former officials say an attack on critical infrastructure, including the u.s. power grid, is one of three worst case concerns. one highly placed intelligence source told nbc news, your vote is safe, you just might not have any scale denial of service. in other words, part of the internet goes down, or a cyber attack to disable communications and transportation in swing states. but intelligence sources and a senior obama national security official tell nbc news they believe a more likely scenario is that hackers from russia or elsewhere will try to manipulate twitter, facebook, and other
