there's a couple of accidents we wants to mention. we'll talk about those and give you a bird's-eye view of 17 north and southbound past durango. this morning, crash i-17 northbound at northern. we'll check that out in a few minutes. also one on the 10 eastbound 51st avenue, slowing things down, in the hov lane. let's give-wider picture of the valley despite looking pretty good. the durango curve starts to back up and we're approaching that and it's relatively open. we'll let you know about the crash on i-17 northbound in just a few minutes. >> thank you very much. we continue our team 12 coverage of traffic this morning, the friday morning commute already a real mess. team 12's brian west is live at i-10 and 51st avenue where a crash has backed up eastbound traffic. what happened out there? >> reporter: matt, we just got

seeing. traffic is congested, 51st avenue, and we're told by a dot, it goes back to 75th avenue and slow-moving. directing your attention to the hov lanes, we see about 8-10 cars there, the median area, and dps is doing an investigation. we have two squad cars out here and there's drivers and passengers sitting on the side of the road and we have a tow truck that did pull up. there was another car out here earlier that had been tak cleanup stages are in the process. if you look, it looks like bumper to bumper car wreck perhaps, a chain reaction between seven or eight cars. as far as traffic, slow-moving along the 10, 51st avenue to 75th avenue, we'll of course bring you an update coming up in our next half hour. we're live along the i-10, 12 today. >> thank you. on this friday, it also happens to be veterans day.

but this is what you will see in the parade. behind me is some of the floats. there's 800 hours of engraving here, so a lot to see at the parade starting at 11:00 a.m., so you don't want to miss out, starts on central, a hard left on indian school, and events around the valley, and you should know that businesses around the country as well as here in arizona are honoring the men and women who have served with veterans day deals, many deals to look out for. it's starts at 11:00 a.m. so get out here early. they'll start closing down some of the streets in the area at about 7:30 this morning so i put a map of the parade route on my twitter so you can look at that. so come out and look at it.

>> good morning. the nba world champion cleveland cavaliers stopped by the white house and produced two videos that have people talking and laughing out loud, including us here. they dropped what may have been the mannequin challenge to end all mannequin challenges, getting the first lady in on it. they posed with her and said they wanted to save this moment forever by doing it and it went viral. and then there was this. before the team's visit came to an end the president suggested they take a photo with him and asked white house staffers to remove the podium before the stage. before doing so, calling out to the staffers, hey, can we move this. take a look behind them at the forward's face, and look at that, in awe.

we're on the mechanic row and it's pretty quiet. it's chilly. the temperatures will keep dropping, a light to medium jacket, a light shell. look at this. they're getting ready, not a lot of workers here yet, probably around the 8:00 hour they'll be coming in here but the garages, it's amazing. they'll get filled up with the crews and they will start working and you will smell bacon and eggs, feeding their crews nd blown city that operates on its own. they have everything from gas trucks to mechanics to garages to wrenches to anything you would need. the semi trucks here, all the nascar, the cars, are sitting up on the top level. there's an elevator in the semi trucks and when they open it up, the elevator comes down and they pull the car out. it's interesting. the car is actually on top. they don't drive it on the bottom. it's beautiful.

good morning to you guys. we're on the i-10 eastbound at 16th street, barely missing a gorgeous sunrise in phoenix, clear blue skies. we're seeing wide open lanes because of veterans day, and there's a crash behind us, i-10 eastbound, 51st avenue, cleared, but it's backing things up to about 83rd avenue, so with our exclusive bird's- eye e westbound lanes looking good. if you're on the 17 northbound at northern, a crash earlier. crews are working on cleaning that up and it looks like that should not be slowing you down here for the next few minutes as crews work on that. as far as the rest of the valley goes, the 60 westbound, tempe, phoenix, slower this morning, but not as bad as a typical morning. the 101 northbound into

arizona and it's 11 electoral votes. on election night the president elect had a solid lead over clinton but was not declared a winner because there was so many uncounted votes. a funeral service is scheduled for monday afternoon for the police officer killed in the line of duty earlier this week. darren reed was shot to death after responding to a call. he had been with the department for 10 years. he was set to retire in february. he's survived by a wife and two children. tonight the arizona capital dome will be all lit up officials say it will stay this way for the rest of the month as part of the green light a vet campaign, hoping to spar conversations about how our veterans are treated and reminding civilians about the sacrificing they have made. several restaurants are honoring veterans and active
