over to you. >> thank you, crystal. so yesterday we were stuck in the snow in forest lakes, absolutely loving it and this is the picture we saw driving back from the high country to the mountains. this is actually in flagstaff. this is i-40 just west of flag staff a lot of snow on the roadways. you can be sure you're waking up to ice, too. so take it slow. down to the valley for your morning commute. i-17, southbound, theres just wanted to show you it is now clear. all lanes are open. that's what we're seeing across the entire valley. no issues as you head out the door, but this definitely changes here in the next hour or two. here is a look at your traffic future cast for 7:00 a.m. the 10 backing up to about 83rd avenue, almost the 101 making it a 15-mile-per-hour commute for you coming into phoenix in the west valley, and then the 17 where you just saw the live camera from, that also

well. matt? >> thank you, jen. and one man is dead and another is in extremely critical condition. they were shot along the phoenix light rail last night. and we're live now with the very latest. nicole? >> reporter: the police are still on scene investigating the shooting. the suspect is still on the loose. we're here at 24th street and jefferson that shooting took place around 9:00 p.m. on the platform of this light rail. you can see the dete still there investigating this morning. if you take a look at video that our crews shot last night, you can see this is the scene as officers were just arriving and just starting their investigation last night. the police were called here for a shooting. the witnesses told police that they saw two men standing on the light rail platform when a third man approached them. they got into a verbal fight that turned physical and in that struggle one of those men pulled out a handgun and shot the other two men.

died. the police tell us that the second man is in exstreamly critical condition at this point. that suspect, still ton loose. we do not yet have a suspect description. and also another thing to keep in mind, if you drive through here during your morning commute, at this point jefferson is blocked off at 24th street. we have not been told by police yet when they plan on opening that up. so just something to keep in mind. for now live in phoenix, 1 today. >> thank you for the update. let's get a quick check of your hot headlines. the police are investigating a home invasion. this happened at 43rd avenue and mcdowell. several men forced their way into a home there a femme of four was home at the time. thankfully nobody was hurt. the police are still investigating to see if any other suspects are still out there. and a 50-year-old man has died while a 12-year-old boy is in critical condition after they were both hit by a car

so to see these new series come out, and if you read a lot of the books, this is just going to be an awesome movie, especially when i see these previews in i max, and i need a napkin just to dry myself off. >> are you at all concerned that disney is overdoing it with the "star wars" films that they are trying to produce one every year now in a way to make money? >> no, because there are so many books out there. if you're a "star wars" fan, you have read a lot of these books and you're each story is different in and of itself. think of "law & order." when you watch it, they usually take the story of the day and that's why it has last sod long.
