around a center kilometers off the coast of chile. it tried to land on the tiny lamb strip there. twice it had to turn back because of strong winds. shortly after that, air traffic controllers lost control of the plane. nothing has been heard from it since. 18 passengers and three crew. they have launched a rescue operation to try to find survivors. >> what more can you tell us about the people on board? >> the best known of them was very well-known television producer here. he was traveling from the local -- traveling to the island to make a film about how the islands recovered from the huge earthquake and tsunami that hit last year. he is one of the top television producers and a well-known face.

loyal to colonel gaddafi. it is unwise to explore too far up the main road. some neighborhoods still fly the green flag. >> we were just driving past when we went in that direction the atmosphere in the town is really different. >> some of the gaddafi families flooded this way when tripoli fell. two others are believed to be hiding in a nearby town.
