>> heyman has opened fire at a busy market in the belgian city of liege, killing four people before turning the gun on himself. 120 people were wounded. police said a the attacker was known to them for a previous weapon and drug offenses. matthew price reports from liege. >> they ran for their lives this afternoon, away from the bustling square where the killing started. a city center under siege. faster, she shouted, ron, as the most vulnerable rushed to safety. >> i saw one man shooting people. some explosions. two or three. all of the people were running

from there to here. >> seconds later, this was the scene. the gunmen threw three hand grenades into the crowd. one at a bus stop. several people died. more than 100 were injured. >> i saw all of the people lying down, bleeding. i stopped to see if i could help. >> by now, and they the gun man, 33-year-old nordine amrani, killed himself. he had convictions for armed to dealing in drugs possession and had been released early from prison. this morning, and he had been summoned by police for questioning. we do not know why. he left his home carrying a backpack containing to dance and several grenades. then he headed for the main courthouse on the central

universe works, they have gone deeper into atoms. first with the nucleus. that has been known about for a century. then inside the nucleus there are protons and neutrons. the journey goes on. inside them, are another minute particle. what gives these things substance? the theory is the smallest particles travel through a forced field and they get slowed down. this is how, "higgs boson -- how the higgs boson works. that is why these hints are some momentous. >> every particle in your body is interacting with this field. it is almost like a cosmic recall that permeates the universe. that is what gives particle's mass and gives you and me structure.

grenades from a rooftop in the belgian city of liege, killing four people. >> the fallout from the european summit continues with the british prime minister and the president of the commission arguing over who was to blame. sexual-harassment is an issue across india. the social problem is back in the spotlight following the murder of two young men who went to the defense of her female friends being harassed by a group of men. >> thousands are gathering on the beach to have a good time. but now there are growing concerns for the safety of women in these areas. she is an undercover police officer, part of a neutral.

her task is to stop the harassment of women and arrest the men that do it. >> the patrol of this area continues. in plain clothes and in uniform. when we see a woman being treated badly, we try to catch the offender. usually they stopped when they see is approaching. >> it sounds innocent, but it is a storm of harassment of women. it takes place in public at beaches and train stations like where i am standing. women say they are vulnerable everywhere. >> i believe it has happened to all of us. people should be punished. >> it is bad. when you are in a train, some guys get in and teach you, it feels bad because there is no

beijing sees taiwan as its province even though it has been separate since the end of a civil war in 1949. relations with beijing could take a turn for the batter or the worst. >> the president was swept to power in a victory in 2008. four years later, he is facing a tougher fight. his main rival, the first elected female leader of the progressive party, has been gaining ground. polls suggest the candidates are neck and neck. the president wants another term to cement the achievements he has made so far. ties with china are the best they have been since they stopped fighting. deals were signed in 2010. thousands of chinese tourists are allowed to visit the island

each day. as some voters are concerned, that he is too focused on china and his policies will pave the way for unification with the mainland. that is not their only worry. the global downturn has seen exports suffering the worst recession in decades. she blames him for help failing to help those struggling to make ends meet. it is a concern shared by many voters. china has kept a low profile in this campaign. that is in contrast to the 1996 election when a test fired missiles as a warning to voters. many see the election as one of the most important and history. it is being viewed as a referendum on his efforts to solve relations with china. an opposition wayne could change the course of their future.

now buyers and sellers can be upfront about doing business. there are restrictions on imported cars, only cubans with permission and foreign residents can buy those. these changes will give people some peace of mind. >> it gives a little more legal security to all of the private dealings. it frees up the businesses from the illegal trafficking. it helps everyone and it helps the government. >> the problem is that although a car may have changed hands a few times, and sold it did not have the original title or did not handed over to the person who bought the car. now cubans must have the original title. the black market people aren't trying to find the person with the original title and pay them for the document. there is no doubt the trade is booming.
