we will continue to track in and have a closer look at your seven-day forecast coming up in just a few minutes. >> thanks so much, madison. and new video this afternoon from heavenly mountain resort. as you can see, skiers and snowboarders were lowered down from the chairlift you after a chair fell off of its cable. these are pictures actually. not video. but the video, the pictures are from laura miller. officials have the resort say no one was injured when the chair fell from the downhill pass of the north bowl chairlift around 11:00 a.m. they had to stop operating that chairlift and evacuate 65 people. the resort has suspended operations while they investigate the cause of the fall. armed protesters are continuing to occupy buildings at a federal wildlife refuge in rural oregon. the protesters are upset about government overreach and that the federal authorities are preventing people from using land and resources. the fbi is working with the

oregon state police and local and state law enforcement agencies to bring the situation to a peaceful resolution. sad news to pass along tonight. a 16-year-old boy who was shot in the het at pat baker park last week has died. reno police say the boy died over the weekend after being transported to the hospital last tuesday following the shooting. >> the court will consider, one, if there is enough evidence to show that in fact it's more likely than not that the juvenile committed the offense, and then, two, the court looks at an overarching public safety issue. should he be tried as an adult. a lot of times what that rests on is the seriousness of the crime. in this kind of situation, in this particular fact pattern, it's very egregious. >> as of now authorities say the 15-year-old suspect is being charged with open murder. reno police officers say they are looking for two suspects involved in a shooting early sunday morning.

outside one bar in the 200 block of west commercial row. this is about 3:45 in the morning. officers say they found two gunshot victims when they arrived on scene. those two people were taken to the hop with non-life threatening injuries. police say witnesses told them the suspects and the victims were arguing right before the shooting. >> officers arrived. did find two victims of gunshot wounds who were transported and we're currently waiting for an update on their conditions. >> one suspect is described as a hispanic man wearing a dark blue sweatshirt. the other is a hispanic man standing 5'5" wearing a red 49ers jersey. if you have any information about this shooting, police ask that you call secret witness at 322-4900. now the suspect has been arrested in an officer-involved shooting near virginia city. it happened around 4:30 saturday

highlands. authorities say that a deputy was responding to a domestic violence call when he was shot in the back. the suspect in this case is 51-year-old charles stutts. he is accused of firing multiple shots from a rifle which hit another person at the scene in addition to the deputy. the sheriff says his deputy was able to return fire, which caused stutts to surrender. stutts, the deputy and the other victim were treated for non- life threatening injuries. stutts was taken into custody and is facing attempted murder and aggravated domestic battery charges. >> i don't know all the details yet. don't know what was going through the perpetrator's mind at the time. have a long ways to go in the investigation. i would say it's an isolated incident. i believe this is the first time we have had a deputy shot since the 1800s. >> and the sheriff says the nevada department of public safety's investigation division

investigation because one of his deputies was involved. options for tougher gun restrictions are being discussed today by president obama and attorney general loretta lynch. officials at the white house said that obama had a sense of urgency for a list of steps he can take after the recent high-profile incidents of gun violence. those in favor of owning a gun have been speaking out against this executive decision. pro-gun groups say it will not prevent crime, using the san bernardino attack as an example because california has very strict gun laws. >> they are violating what american stands for. so if a person cannot come in and legally buy a gun to defend themselves and then that means that only criminals have the guns, the ones willing to violate the laws. so that's why they're criminals. so more laws doesn't mean a safer place to live. >> white house officials will announce in the coming days a new executive action with hopes
