this weekend. 62-year-old elizabeth danel died saturday afternoon after falling and sliding down the slope through a strand of trees. according to officials it happened in the head wall area of the resort when ski patrol arrived they found her unconscious and performed lifesaving measures but she died about an hour later. danel was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. a cloud of heavy smoke appeared over the heart of midtown reno just before 4:00 this evening. it was coming from an apartment fire at the midtown commons on forest street and st. lawrence avenue three engines responded the fire and contained the flames to the apartment. they knocked the fire down within 4 minutes they have not determined cause of the fire but say it started in the bedroom. much of the damage to the unit is expected to be from heavy smoke. >> there was a big cloud of black smoke everybody came knocking on the door so everybody could get out of the apartments. and we sat back and watched it

reno police continue to investigate a deadly shooting that happened before midnight last night. it happened at siri's casino on the 200 block of north virginia street. 38-year-old kiley grayson was arrested for open murder. the men involved were employees there but they weren't working at the time. surveil an footage showed victim and suspect in an argument before the shooting the victim was taken to hospital where he later died his identity has not been released. reno police are still looking for two men who roughed up an elderly man in a home burglary last week. they have since located a suspicious vehicle that they believe may be recommendinged to 0 the burglary in south reno. the distinct happened wednesday night near the 1400 block of foster drive. reno police say an older gentleman suffered from nonlife threatening injuries however police have not made any arrests. police previously told us the first suspect is described
