firefighters association they will be taking look at the latest proposed deal this morning a meeting is set in san jose 9:00 a.m. they will decide discuss what they have put on the table for the negotiations which take a look at what the union will be voted the city is proposing 9 percent cut in pay and benefits for firefighters it would save the city more than $10 million. that could mean some of the 49 cadets could be rehired. firefighters are pushing for 3.5% at which would save $4 million. chp plans to crack down on drivers who ignore the hands free cell phone was behind the wheel. it went into effect two years ago now officials say drivers are starting to revert back to their old ways. chp driving with that
