county sheriff's department and call demand to the front desk of a hotel and alameda. the hampton inn, the caller threatened to hijack the american airlines plane. earlier video shows that a video checked out this threat. because they named the specific flight 24 from s f zero to new york. they moved this to a repo rip offmote area, and two people were taken off the airplane and detained them. others for it left on and there were told very little by the airline until there were taken off. and then brought back to the american airlines terminal. there were required to go through security again, there were careful 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

the >> then just as this was taking off to jfk, kate thompson has been on the scene and joins us from the latest. kate? >> it was a very scary and tense moment for people that were aboard that american airlines flight of flight 24. there were not given for a much information but they found out that there was a threat made that the plane was going to be hijacked. the fbi has deemed that the read not credible. and this morning, the alameda wh hotel clerk received a call that the deep tell of the call that law enforcement. and desk-detail. of the actual flight number on the threat. this was taken to a remote,

isolated part of the airport. there were on that airplane for hours while investigations. two people were taken off in handcuffs, detained, and everybody was taken off and put on two shuttle buses and taken back to the american airlines terminal. there were able to collect their package and a very long day. 7:30 a.m. and as they sat on the tarmac and had to wait. what we spoke to many passengers and here are their stories. >> you know, everything was ecalm and it was terrific, which is weighted, and waited. >> it was a bit of a drag but it is safe and we're going home. >> we still do not know what happened, this is what happened, they never said, anything. they

look at the american airlines terminal at the easternmost and of terminal no. 3. this large one is for united takes one his work and the smaller one is for american airlines and this was coming out with a bonus 767. much like that one, and it was trying to go to the york city it was a boeing plane and the passengers say that it abruptly went off the taxi into this direction and what to the most remote location. right here and this is where this was held at for hours on this story of the tarmac. and they took all the precautions, searched and then removed. two of them were taken in handcuffs. the others were taken into a shuttle bus and not taken to the gate, there were taken all the way back to the front of the terminal. they had to go through security come and get on another flight.
