paul live this is kron 4 news at 6:00 it's been more than a week since the san bruno gas line explosion still others months of work ahead. crews will begin cleaning up the fires on on thursday. christine conley shows that's what's being done to prepare to keep neighboring residents say. >> the courtesy here spring water on the fire zone to make sure the ashes stamps so when they removed on thursday dust which could be laced with toxic chemicals won't fly up into the air. the health department has been monitoring the air quality in the area since the event had

the water and on the shoreline. i saw every kind of trash imaginable, a lot of it was unidentifiable plastic stuff, but the two things i noticed most was a packaging for chips and styrofoam containers. the trash is everywhere and some of it is a little weird. i found some flip-flops, shampoo bottles and even an old christmas ornament. along with the odd things found , there was an abundance of one of the most common litter items, cigarette butts. hundreds of them can be found in the water and on land. it's a unique problem that will be difficult to solve at least five curving creeks flow through oakland into the flue, a lot of trash is carried downstream in those creeks but one of the biggest sources of the trash is not too far away. the oracle arena and the coliseum are within sight of the flue. the trash from the events there is carried by the wind and into the waterways. oakland and other cities in the bay area with similar problems are required to get a handle on hot spots like this by 2014. the

now a source inside many pointed out new glitch in the clipper gates. it's another glitch that also allows me riders to read to read. what happens is sometimes the fare gate gets confused also because of fare evaders piggybacking of both customers. when that happens the gates get stuck open like this gate and although this one closes sometimes they don't. these glitches in the system are because the city of san francisco chose to be different from that the every-city but the gate. muni officials allow riders to walk out instead of tapping out. tapping out means using a card to enter and exit. because of this lockout feature in san francisco a critic glitches in the system that need to be fixed. nummi spokesperson said they expect a fix to the date problem by october. unless the soon to be developed it from where patch. every system there will be in clutches until the fix is created it will be up to
