live this is kron 4 news @ 5:30 p.m. >> at 5:30 p.m. a rally against proposed cuts to ac transit is happening now in oakland. but go live with reggie who joins is the latest from the rally. reggie perry had >> about two dozen ac transit bus riders of gathered outside here at 1410 broadway near the walgreen's. that they're holding signs demanding that ac transit not make any more cops to it served us. or to its bus line. at this point ac riders say they were planning to march from this point to ac transit headquarters where board meeting is taking place starting at 6:00 p.m.. even though this agenda item is not on the agenda tonight, they still will be will make their voices heard cheering the public, and parts of the meeting. ac transit has

already reduced service by 15% to carry it this year they're planning to make an additional 6% in service cuts before agreement was reached between ac transit board members in the bus drivers and mechanics. now the agreement has been reached, ac transit may not be making this additional 6 percent in cuts, but if they do it could happen in march. ac transit officials say that has not been discussed by the board at this point. it is not a plan caught that they are planning to do it in march. they say they don't understand why these writers are gathering here. and protesting these cats that may not even go into effect. these writers do plan to hold up some traffic here in oakland. will see how this goes as the make their way to that board meeting at ac transit headquarters in just a few moments. live in oakland kron 4 news. >> authorities in santa cruz are searching for a man who believe may be missing. as

cars and parked outside the big basin state park carried the man has not been reported missing but authorities are bit suspicious about his absence. the kron 4 rock explains why. >> the search for the missing man began early wednesday after park rangers became suspicious about this black kia station wagon. it been parked here in the bay view center just across from the headquarters in the state parks and saturday. that in itself is unusual, we've learned that it is owned by 57 year-old jonathan francs of pennsylvania. most recently of southern california, santa cruz county sheriff's lt. tells kron 4 that he's been in contact with mr. frank's family back east and he was told that mr. franks is despondent over having recently lost a job. investigators say they found ammunition inside the car here. they're not sure what that means but they are taking no chances on the trail he are. more than 35

in oakland. the shooting occurred back on november the eight, oakland police responded to a domestic disturbance call involving derek jones. he was shot and killed by two opd officers who allege that jones reached into his waistband, for shoddy at job. however, no weapon was found. oakland police chief anthony batts has called in the fbi, to conduct an investigation independently to this matter. opd spokesperson explains why. >> with the recent events involving officer involved shooting we understand the public needs further outside investigation. we are open to that, we want to make sure that the public feels comfortable with the findings. we are absolutely inviting the fbi to come in >> here. officer joseph oakland police will give the fbi complete access to whatever it needs during the course of this investigation. a second person has died after a shooting in sacramento.

tonight police are searching for a suspect involved in the case. it happened on tuesday afternoon. the 20 year-old man who died over night was hit in the chest outside of a barber shop. a third year-old mother you see your picture here, was also killed while she was loading or to year-old into a car seat. she was an innocent bystander. police said she used her body to protect her child and her child is ok. five men who were injured in the gunfight are expected to survive. police have identified the shooter as lonnie mitchell of sacramento who is on the lives. they say he is armed and dangerous. and robbers on the run in alameda, accused of stealing christmas decorations. the thieves hid the block known as the tree lane. every year the halls along the street go all-out decorating for the holiday season. it alameda police said the thieves stole from four of the houses on the block. the took lights and other small decorations. christmas tree

>> the preliminary hearing for seven people suspected of the assault and rape of a teenage girl continues. kron 4 dan curman was in the martina's court room today. >> under costa county sheriff's department dna analyst david stockwell took the stand today as the prosecution sought to draw a connection between the 16 year-old richmond high school girl and the seven men who were accused of sexually assaulting her. stockwell testified vaginal and a all swabs from the alleged victim contain seamen that matched defendant john crane and an unidentified male. stockwell said swabs from the victim's mouth contain seem and that matched defendant's and john crane and man well. he said storm down on other parts the victim's body as well as her dress were also linked to claim and sperm found on the use condom at the scene also linked to john crane. >> the dna analysts is
