>> the sfo duty manager tells me that most airlines are back on schedule. live at sfo reggie kron 4 news. >> thank you reggie, developing news tonight. an officer involved shooting happened in san francisco and kron 4 jonathan blum is live on the phone and he is in the neighborhood. it just what's happening. >> there a lot of police officers at the scene of the shooting that happened just a little while ago. one suspect is now in the hospital after officers say he confronted pleased with what appears to be a knife and came at them. an officer shot him and was sent to hospital with life- threatening injuries. there's a ton of officers here and that's a result of the protocol whenever there's an officer involved shooting that to bring of several units to investigate the shooting. the see the started when an earlier this afternoon there were reports of stopping here in the portland neighborhood. this is such a man who called police to say he himself been stabbed. officers came

something their promise more than a decade ago. dan curman is here to talk about this. this is a bad time ask for more money? >> is university to compete with the private one to attract top talent is a this is something there promised in the university needs to follow through with its commitment. earlier this month uc regents received a letter from 36 uc executives demanding the university honor its commitments and pay them additional pension benefits as university had promised. otherwise face a legal confrontation. dan simmons is chairman of the uc academic senate. all of us who work for the university it's a public institution its in difficult financial circumstance at the moment as senior managers of the university i think people have a responsibility to think about continued health

of the university. it was back in 1999 in an effort to compete for top talent, the university of california went to the irs to get a waiver so they give those making more than to adjourn $45,000 a year additional pension. a years later in 2007, they got the ok but by then times have changed the university was in fiscal trouble and the forecast for the pension plan was it would run out of money and 15 + years if reforms were not made. at its december meeting uc regents put it into writing their declined to establish a program to increase the pension but as you see the proposal was crossed out before the meeting. why? because days before uc regents received a letter from the uc executives who maintain " many senior level employees joined the university or remain with the university based on this to clear policy, which was used as a

condition of a blended. retroactively denying benefits approved by the regents would be on president. severances was getting it started storage gunna take over the second floor of the metronome market street. construction will begin next month. kate thompson is here and this could mean a lot of jobs i'm assuming? >> hundreds of job because are overhauling the metric on and not only are they putting in the target but there really completely renovating the building to join new retailers and places to eat. it's going to mean more than a thousand jobs. a year-and-a-half from now after 18 months of construction, this is what the montreal look like. if the $30 million renovation of the shopping center will create 600 construction jobs. 700 permanent jobs. 250 of those jobs will come from the new target store. that will occupy the entire second floor, 85,000 square feet of the metric on. construction is expected to begin next month.
