and fighting wildfires may soon be partially the responsibility of local firefighters. under jerry brown's new budget plan cal fire will be reducing the number of firefighters on the engine crews from four to three. that's reduction of 700 firefighters. it also means more territory to patrol for city and county which are dealing with budget cuts of the room. san as a fire chief said the change could have impact on mutual aid where firefighters from across the state response to major wildfires. >> whenever request for mutual aid comes and we have to consider a role for the purpose facility to provide that. if we can jump on fire relief, we can't keep the size of the fires to a containable area, if we can get the helicopters in real quickly than the likelihood of us being able to manage some fires in the manner

fighting wildfires the summit fire in santa cruz mountains may soon be partly the responsibility of local firefighters under gov. jerry brown's new budget plan cal fire will be reducing the number of firefighters on engine crews from four to three. it that's a reduction of 700 firefighters. it also means more territory to patrol for city and county fire departments which of course are dealing with budget cuts of their own. the fire chief said the change could have an impact on mutual eat were firefighters from across the state respond to major wildfires. when a request for me to light comes in with a considerable ability to provide the service. then share resources, we can't jump on fires and we can't keep the size of the fire to

welcome back to kron 4 news weekend we have an update for you on an overnight shooting at top san francisco as twin peaks. that left one person dead. authorities say the victim was a man in his 20s. the call came in before 330 this morning and medics did rush to the scene. so far we have from the police no suspects or motive behind the shooting. more than a dozen people are without a home this morning after to alarm fire in san francisco. it happened before it o'clock last night in a residential building near florida and 22nd street. crews were able to get the blaze under control and less than an hour, nobody was hurt but 16 people are displaced this morning. if not arrest cross found them all please test the overnight the cause of the fires still under investigation. >> a landlord charged with brutally beating a dog will not what did jot jail.
