a developing story in oakland, were looking at the really ugly scene the aftermath of a high-speed chase that happened a short time ago. were showing you and you see here of burgundy car there's really not much left of the car. it's one of what we think are pleased to vehicles involved in the crash. but police are only telling us it was a high- speed chase, it's was destroyed. police are saying there is a high-speed chase, there was a crash we don't know exactly what started this. police have closed off streets in this area and will be holding a news conference and a short time so we will have more details of what happened. this is at the intersection of 85th avenue in san leandro not too far from the coliseum.

>> a san francisco woman is heading to jail as an actor posing as a victim of a pipeline explosion in order to claim disaster aid. jackson turner pleaded guilty to going to a center for is that to the explosion to get benefits available to the victims. she's the fourth person tried convicted of china's gatt made after the blast. the the parents of a woman was killed in the gas on explosions of a wrongful death lawsuit against pg&e today. jessica morales was that her boy friends call when the explosion happened. this is a photograph of the two of them. the boyfriend did survive but he was badly burned. the suit alleges negligence and ultra has of this dangerous activity on the part of pg&e led to her death. a woman who was killed in a crash while allegedly fleeing police in a stolen truck have been identified. the contra costa sheriff's department says 27 year-old christina ramos

still unfolding as police are on the scene and piecing together their investigation. also on the scene our reporter jonathan blum he's live with the latest details. >> pam we just talked to a police captain a few moments ago who give us the details of this case that turned deadly for one of two suspects police were pursuing. it all started just after 4:00 this afternoon when police say they responded to reports of a couple suspect shooting at apparently innocent people in the 7600 block of lockwood. it that's not a crime hot spot and they say they're investigating why it is of those suspects were apparently shooting innocent people. fortunately police say none of those victims were hurt. please did pursue those aspects which lead to a high-speed chase on and off the freeway and that ultimately ended in a crash. at one other person was hurt not severely enough to be considered life threatening and police officers then ordered the suspect to get

out of the vehicle. at the time to see the passenger got out of the vehicle and they saw he was armed with two guides. please order the passenger to get down on the ground when he did not comply one of the three officers chased opened fire and killed the suspect. the driver of the vehicle was taken into custody without incident please say and is now sitting in alameda county jail. it police say oakland police radios were not working problem is a prom they say is the play in the apartment for quite some time now. officers out in the field can hear each other but they can't communicate with dispatch making it difficult for them off to call for medical assistant and travel controls. how were they say that indeed it county park patrol officer was able to hear the three police officers asking for back up and that police officer told his dispatch to call for medical help. while the suspects did receive medical help in a timely manner police say he did not survive. police say they still are under investigation in the meantime, at least five

hear that person was injured but not severely injured. you're looking here at a body bag of the street, we know of chorister was issued out but only at the trees and crashed and one of the suspect shot and killed it by oakland police. this is the body bag that you see here on the street. pam. >> city leaders across california are calling the governor's plan to end the redevelopment money a job killer that would paralyze the economic development. the governor said redevelopment funds are draining money from schools. as kron 4 rob reports one area of san jose is building because redevelopment dollars are pouring in. >> these are among the 3000 people employed by the data network company brocade in san jose. city leaders say if not for the millions of dollars in redevelopment incentives the company got to expand its get this here, brocade and all those jobs

as school districts take their belt across the state. the oakland school board is getting ready to give it staffer raise. as dan curman tells us teachers say it's long overdue. >> oakland teachers are poised to get a 2% pay hike. teachers say it's long overdue there among the lowest paid in the county. as a result, often time teachers leave after your to. if they say they should go a long way toward retaining teachers. >> when you of a teacher you could rely on being there year after year does something in the community, the to nbc's the teacher is committed to the community and staying there. it has a tremendous effect on students. i had students was teaching and i had their
