operate under darkness and without anybody seeing them tracking them down becomes difficult. tracking down an arsonist is difficult especially when they operate under darkness. in san francisco more than two dozen porta-potti is were torched in november of 2008. most were in the northeastern part of the city. most occurring between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. in these cases the was never an arrest. february 2009 the fire just came to a stop. >> the difficulty of catching an arsonist no one actually sees the light the fire. vacancies on running away or somebody saw someone in the neighborhood but just action see them start the fire and has to be physical evidence on the scene leaking you to that situation. that's the hardest part carry >> in july of two dozen diners a rash of car fires until francisco. most occurred along the carrier's record or. in this case investigators were able to track someone down and she
