creeks clark takes a look at conditions in the santa cruz mountains. >>craig: all the wet weather we had last week is not replaced by clear cold weather. if you look up there, you could see the moon is clear and nice, fortunately it also means temperatures in the south bay are in the mid to upper 30's. on highway 17 in santa cruz it's close to freezing. there's no moisture, the ground is dry and commuting is safe here. in the santa cruz mountains, craig kron 4 news. >>mark: the search for two walnut creek teams that won rafting in the creek ended tragically. there were found in a concord canal several miles from where they entered the water. the high school students, went into this brain swelling canal around 2:00 p.m. saturday. there were supposed to been a friend of the other and they never showed up. they

were wearing helmets but no life jackets. there were reported round midnight, because of the heavy rain was too dangerous for search crews to enter the water. they entered water on sunday, they found the two bodies on sunday afternoon. the second deadly incident in this canal in less than a year. the spot where officials from the teens was about a fifth of a mile where car caring family of three, last april crashing into the canal. he was the dramatic rescue of one of the people in that car. you may remember was really stormy back then. the hogan family was driving north on san miguel drive. 75 year- old janice hogan as you see here, rescued from the water. her son and husband were found dead at week later. >>darya: 6:35 a.m., world news and the latest this morning witnesses and lesbian protesters and security forces are battling for control of the city.

flight delays of about an hour. the situation it is action getting worse for laguardia. there's a two hour 12 minute arrival delays. they were experiencing just an hour delays on a last updates of the situation getting worse. o'hare showing three hour and 42 minutes delayed because of snow on the ground there. minneapolis is about one hour 19 minute delay because of all the nasty weather rolling through the upper midwest. we will keep our eye on the situation here, we will let you know. >>darya: a cable car smashed into a bus near san francisco russian hill on sunday afternoon. on the bus struck by a cable car near columbus, the driver apparently lost control of the cable car after he couldn't keep his grip on the warner cable. two passengers in the crush complained of minor injuries. drivers of the bus will under go drug and alcohol tests. no

administration leave has been planned. five people arrested on suspicion of trying to buy alcohol for minors during a decoy operation in petaluma. a boy or girl was us by pleas to approach 45 different adults, ask them to buy boots. of those approached five people agreed to buy the alcohol for the minors. they were arrested. all the suspects receive notices to appear in court. if found guilty the minimum fine it is a thousand dollars and 24 hours of community service. >>mark: the man arrested, he's not been released for posting a reduced jail. he walked to jail after his bail was reduced from 1 million down to $400,000 on friday. welsh is accused of selling thousands of dollars of drugs with the help of a private investigator who is still in jail on $900,000 bill. he is also facing similar charges. they are set to enter a plea when
