always under the threat of budget cuts, that is the situation at mount yellow school district. they announce the closure of two schools and they are because out funding for sports and music. they have been charged with raising the money to try and restore music but as dan kerman tells us they got help from the city of concord auto dealers. >> reporter: in the market for a new truck but she had planned to buy one at a dealership until she found out more than a dozen of the retailers or donating a percentage of their sales to support sports and music programs at mount diablo. >> the efforts to support that is amazing. i want to shop locally and support them. >> reporter: the idea of having concord to dealerships donate with the city's ideal, but car

>> james: welcome back to the kron 4 news. an incident involving a reporter and camera woman who were attacked while covering a story. it happened sunday, this is video of the attack you can see the crew, they were covering a memorial service. mourners attacked them trying to grab the camera. they punched, kicked the reporter they pulled the camera warm and tear the character in the face. we spoke with reporter involved in that attack here's what yet to say. >> reporter: we showed up wheeler led to believe these people wanted to talk to us. we understood emotions were rob, there were women

>> reporter: crews spent the better or taking apart what's left of two motor roads that were destroyed after a pine tree crashed down on them. two more have come down since then. no one was injured but there were three people inside a motor home when the tree came down. shortly after the 20 or so park visitors were evacuated and the campground were shut down. it remains closed. park service is building inspectors to go through all of the trees to see if any others may be in danger of coming down the tummy that these parents tend to be very shallow rooted what happened is the ground becomes over saturated and it trees come down under their own weight. the park remains closed
