apartment complex. if the worker was rushed to the hospital. officials say he was unconscious when he was rescued, his condition is currently on notes. >>pam: with good weather around the northern part of the united states and canada. a record snowfall in south dakota more than 15 in. in the northeastern corner of the state. travel was almost impossible in many of the roads there. many local businesses stayed close to people stayed home from work at the height of the storm. for the second time this year. this city of windsor ont is declaring a snow emergency. windsor was hit with nearly it a foot of snow on sunday into monday morning. despite the snow emergency many people left their cars on the city's streets sunday night because they didn't expect so much know so fast. it made it difficult for the city plows to clear up the street as you see here. >>jacqueline: on live look

live, from the bay area's news station, this is kron 4 news at 6:00. >>pam: dozens of mount diablo unified teachers and other staff route seems rate now. we're less than an hour a way to decide the fate of more schools in the district. dan curman joins us live from concord with more on what's at stake during tonight's meeting. >>dan: first these are members of four different unions including teachers and other staff members. they believe the school district has been marketing unfairly that is why they're out here. they're willing to do take place because they

know the school district is in a budget crisis. but they say the district is bargaining in bad faith. focus tonight will be on school closures. if love you exactly what we're talking about. as you know their party slated to close to schools glenbrook model school and holbrook elementary. tonight they will be talking about additional closures on the chopping block. silver would elementary and west would elementary. we talked to a teacher from one of the schools that are easily did for closure. she thinks it's going to be a real hardship for parents. >> it's the same families that are going have to figure out how to get their kids to farther distance school that's 4 mi.. that's hard to do if you have your elementary school kids too far to walk you can't send them on public buses which is what the district seems to be say when there's a bus route nearby. to can't send elementary school kids on a public bus. if i think it's

going to be a real hardship for them. >>dan: back live in concord, were tonight the school board meeting will be taking place it begins at 730. if the focus tonight will be the school board deciding whether or not to close another school. if so which one or will their breed more than one. we will have a complete report for you tonight on kron 4 news at 11:00 a.m.. reporting live in concord, dan kron 4 news. >>pam: a traffic nightmare on the dumbarton bridge is now cleared up. it happened after a big rig crashed into a car that was pulled over on the side of the bridge. the whole thing caught fire. it all traffic in the east bound direction was brought to a complete halt. the bridge was shutdown in both directions. you could see what was going on here. if you did to the fire crews tried to extinguish the flames. this video taken by at kron 4 viewer who drove by. they're traveling westbound in the opposite

direction here. the chp crew waving them through this scene. kron 4 kate thompson was at the scene of the crash in joins us from the end of the bridge at the east palo side. kate. >>kate: it took crews several hours to clear the crash. three and half hours all lands in the east bound side of the dumbarton bridge were completely closed down. you can see right here over this curved that is where the accident happened. all the lanes of these funds side were shut down for three and a half hours and the west of a shutdown for about two hours. the into the video that was taken by a bike rider who was riding over the bridge just when the crash happened around 11:00 this morning. the black smoke the tractor- trailer hit a car that install the in the right- hand lane. both of those vehicles completely going off in flames. fire crews had to bring water trucks

onto the bridge to put out that fire and then bring in flat bed trucks to tow the whole mess away. this is why it took so long. the three and a half hours for them to open the bridge. we also caught up with the woman whose woman's car stalled on the bridge for badlher battery completely shut down. luckily her mother and her got out of the car. >> i was on the phone with aaa when this happened. i am the driver, my car to stalled. i was on the phone with aaa what happened. me and my mom got out. we ran. >>kate: no one was injured during the crash. the two men use of their did get out. nobody injured. the

was just a very violent shake. >>pam: many pictures and videos are being posted on line showing the damage after the quake. our internet reporter kimberly has a look at some of the latest images. >>kimberlee: let's start off with the videos on youtube. i found this one, it shows a surveillance video of the store showing this shaking starting off mild. it builds off to where the storm appears as though it's moving side to side. uc this ceiling lamps just weighing in this home of the christ church resident. some pictures were knocked off the wall, some books knocked off. i found his picture on twitter. you could see the big line of cars trying to move very slowly through the flooded streets. it took place after the quake. we

has occurred in connection with a supermarket in the hills. we learned how the crimes are being committed. >>reporter: sitting in the safeway parking lot waiting for robbery victims. if that is what oakland police say someone has done seven times. the most recent case happened about a week ago. opd spokesperson said the at talks about investigators noticing a pattern in these robberies. the pattern is just basically we have this individual was in the safeway parking lot and he's fighting elderly women and following them home and abroad in them. >>reporter: most cases the victims purse was snatched up set of their home. so far no one has been injured in the incidents. oakland police say they have a person of interest in connection with of least five of the seven robberies. in oakland kron 4 news.
