505, a gallon. jackie live with gas prices around the bay area. >> reporter: $3.93 for regular gallon of unleaded gas. this is about average for the bay area. you talked about our early we see gas prices increase. on average according to aaa, $3.96, that is the highest in the united states. those huge jumps we have seen over the past month, it seems like there's no end in sight. it all has to do with the price of oil. $107 a barrel, right now all of the unrest in north africa and th. t

because after the san bruno gas pipeline explosion, their computer records show there were no seams or welds in the pipe that exploded. when they took the puck back to a laboratory, they found it was welded. they're going through the records, some dating back is far as the 1920's, there are 12 hour shifts, 24 hours a day. the plot is ticking, they want to know the records, they want to know the details about the thousands of miles of pipeline the rain that run through san francisco. if they don't get the records they could be forcing the gas their rights through the pipes to be changed. there could be a big

right now we are picking up some rain in the livermore valley, the bulk moving to the east right now. we are also seeing snowfall in the sierra. we are at a chilly 46 in napa, and san rafael, but fairly mild weather in the south bay low 50s to start you off. this afternoon your highs of '50s and '60s, 61 in fairfield, concord, along the coast mid-50s. little warmer than that in the south bay 62. a chance of wet weather over night, we could get sprinkle sleep tonight into early tomorrow morning. we are talking about maybe passing showers, continuing through a good portion of your morning. certainly not a big storm and it could dry up by the end of the morning. this 7 day around the bay, we have a pattern of

about the work. they threaten to call the san francisco police department, excuse me daly city police officers because we were on the premise. this is very private. pg&e won't even acknowledge what's going on. but we have reports that they are looking through documents dating back to 1920. they're going to record simply because of the gas line explosion that happened in san bruno. afterwards they were weltheir computer showed there s no wilson that pipe, when they took the pipe away they found weld's in there. so their records don't match, that's why the state utility commission is forcing pg&e to provide records by march 15th, that say the pipes are safe. it's not there will be a big change in the way

that has been cleared from lanes and the freeway. we mentioned in the last report upon all opened up in the pavement on 1 01 northbound remits band. the crews have checked and determined, there is a pot holder, but nobody will fall through it. that is exactly the word. highway 1 01, we track the commute on the bayshore freeway. 1 01 ride here, taillights are northbound. it is light traffic in both directions, the backup will be in the northbound direction in just a little while. pavement problems are report of pot holes on 80 in the westbound direction at central. so far no word on emergency road closures there. >> darya: trying to find parking
