have been evacuated. those within 19 mi. are being told to stay indoors to avoid exposure to radiation. the crisis is getting worse after the earthquake that has been upgraded to a 9.0 and the tsunami that has killed so many people. there have been explosions' a third reactor, and the reactor fire in the fourth reactor. fire was in a storage pond, that's where radioactivity has been released directly into the atmosphere japanese safety officials say the water for the damage reactor maybe boiling now. one reaction to the expert says japan is not really an accurate information on. he says it is more dangerous that that power plant, he says japan's failure to provide full

facing a $10 million budget shortfall. they are looking at laying off 60 teachers. those teachers are wearing red right now and pay exchequer's symbolically saying these are the ones on the chopping block. the final cuts will be in may. we will hear from a teacher who is six months pregnant, because of creative measures she was brought back last year back to work. they just said a lot of measures that were available last year are not available this year. they said even for unified school district responsible it is dire. this is one of many districts that is looking to lay off teachers as much as 23,000 teachers. coming up we will get a reaction from school teachers, students and administrators.

are unaccounted for they are possibly remove or on the bottom. five of the 17 boats have been recovered and remove from the water. that's important because all of the boats have fuel tanks that are full and that you will slowly dribble out. >> darya: i understand when you looked, there is nothing visible as far as this like or anything? >> there are sheens, i wouldn't call it a slick. the fuels that are associated with these boats are diesel, and regular gas. that doesn't cause quite the amount of problems that the fuel that you find on a big ship causes. it is much easier to manage. we are managing get with booming material it helps absorb anything it rises to the
