steroids from bonds personal trainer. he is in jail refusing to testify against bonds. his former mistress yesterday blamed a 99 elbow injury on steroid use and then his body and behavior change during their nine year relationship. >> mark: san jose police officer recovering in the hospital this morning. he was thrown from his motorcycle and a crash that happened in a felony hit and one and run. officer craig was crossing first-rate when the honda pulled out in front of him and stopped. it is possible the driver had to stop because somebody was pulling out of the wendy's parking lot. he fled the scene of the accident and that will lead to a felony charges.

truck that occurred at 2:00 a.m. this morning. thankfully we still don't have that big back up that is still anticipated because it is still early. the bad news is even though they are clearing the over turn tankard the problems may be damage to their road and the sand beryl's. that might mean this ramp might be affected until later this morning it. if that occurs we may see a big traffic jam we have expected. it affects the ramp to the washington ave. that could be tying up san lorenzo, even some hayward traffic. another hot spot, the south bay where 1 01 northbound. we are checking to see if it is late road work that has the lanes blocked. we are

have been found guilty. a former hillsdale high school student is guilty of five of the seven felony charges he faced in connection with an august, 2009 attack on the campus involving pipe bombs, a dagger, and a chain-saw. a san mateo county jury convicted alexander youshock monday of the attempted murder of his former chemistry teacher. youshock was also found guilty of exploding a destructive device in an act of terrorism; possession of a destructive device in a public place; carrying a concealed dagger; and carrying a concealed explosive. an assistant principal and other teacher eventually tackled youshock just outside the classroom building and held him for police. during the trial the defense had argued the former student suffered from mental illness. the proceedings were delayed for months while psychiatrists examined his fitness to stand trial. the confessed killer of oakland journalist chauncey bailey is back in court on monday as a key witness in the trial of two men charged in three murders.devaughndre broussard, 23, described how yusef bey iv ordered him to kill odell roberson because the man's relative had murdered bey's brother.broussard's testimony against the defendants is part of a plea deal in which he admitted to killing two men. the key witness explained that he followed orders to kills roberson and bailey, a journalist who was reporting on bey's financially troubled your black muslim bakery.antoine mackey is also on trial for murder. he is accused of helping in both 2007 killings and carrying out a third. >> mark: stocks appear to be an

we will show you slow traffic picking up but it, there was the northbound accident and the southbound accident and both of those conspired to back up this traffic. we thought it was late road work but it turns out it was to accidents both of them clear now. it is likely this back up will dissipate give yourself extra time normally you would not find those delays. a quick bridge check the bay bridge metering lights were activated at 6:23 a.m. you are seeing a back up forming but we haven't been incident free. san mateo bridge ride still uneasy commute here with no problems headed towards foster city. the golden gate bridge ride 1 01 southbound is also problem for this morning. over to the weather center here is liza. >> louisa: we deserve the weather. we have earned it. lots

of blue sky out there, high clouds in the next three san francisco but mostly clear this morning. lots of sunshine through the afternoon slight warming today, record highs expected for tomorrow. tomorrow temperatures jump up there, warm weather continues until friday. 80 degree temperatures in some spots. temperatures will warming to the '60s today, 63 for san francisco, concord about 69, really close to the 70 degree mark. five degrees above four river yesterday. san jose 66 today, santa rosa 68, livermore 66 and napa closing in on 70. big warmup comes tomorrow. the system is bringing rain into the far northern part of california.

as this shifts in east that's what is going to grab hold of us tomorrow through friday bringing temperatures up. certainly nice warmup for us this week. current temperatures in the '40's by the afternoon warming it up to the upper 60s. 14 degree jump by wednesday continuing to hold on to the '80s until about friday. saturday brings in a slight chance of rain. >> mark: another story out of hercules this saturated soil has caused flooding there. homes are in danger on carson street. >> reporter: it's a story that has been repeated around the bay area at hillside sliding down after the ground is saturated. four homes have been red tag out here on carlson. for others have been yellow tank. this started

on tuesday. this is video of what it looks like. this started on tuesday when the homes were red tag. the hill behind these homes started to fall. they had to evacuate four homes, utilities were turned off for safety reasons. we are now being told four others have been yellow tank. they have been warned not to stay overnight in those homes. we expect to see people from the city come out here, to try and ensure the hillside as much as possible. the ground is so saturated, this is one of the homes that has a red tag. you can see water seeping from alongside the garage. it is an up will battle for the homeowners out here. their hope is they can stop the hillside from creeping down.

workers from the city say it may be an uphill battle. >> darya: 60 5:00 a.m. officials in japan are calling it a grave. highly toxic plutonium is seeping from the damaged nuclear power plant in japan's tsunami disaster zone into the soil outside, officials said tuesday, heightening concerns about the expanding spread of radiation. plutonium was detected at several spots outside the fukushima dai-ichi power plant, the first confirmed presence of the dangerously radioactive substance. officials said the traces of plutonium posed no immediate threat to public health. it can cause long-term damage and may be carcinogenic. the death toll has topped 11,000. the nuclear emergency highlights what is the medical-. few treatments are for radiation. there are newer developments including rapid testing that could spot doses with merely up in your part of blood and an injunction that has

>> darya: breaking news of fire at the evergreen oil refinery injuring one person. we are zooming in on the area. will tran is in the area with the latest. >> will: i don't see flames coming from the refinery. the smoke i saw about 25 minutes ago has disappeared for now. it is happening over there, that's why fire trucks are headed in that direction. a lot of roadblocks taking place. a lot of people have been evacuated from their homes. trying to get more informational the fire department spokeswoman just arrived at the scene. she is

headed to the refinery as soon as she gets information shall come back out and tell me about the person that was injured, and what caused the refinery to catch on fire during the 5:00 a.m. hour. while we wait for hurt let's show you the lay of the land. police officers are all over the place. the fremont police department as well as the new work. but there's a lot of sulfur in the area. people told me it is because of the flares that the police officers are using not just at that interchangintersection but a per around the refinery to make sure people lookit to close. i tried to get close to it but they said because it is a chemical fire this is as close as we can get. as soon as a get more informational will pass along. the good news this note towering flames. the smoke that we saw it

than usual on 101 leading north word. the back out is almost to the 880. northbound incident near lafayette. they were reported completely clear, traffic is still sluggish here. it is unusual to see it this low for north fell 1 01. no other problems are hot spots let's give you a quick bridge check. metering lights have been active for a half-hour it is a good ride to the bay bridge, san mateo bridge ride is doing pretty well. the volume is higher here but no problems across the span no backups on the approach to the bridge. a day the traffic is still lighter than usual. golden gate bridge right still looks good as well.

kron 4 news room lets your the latest. >> reporter: iraqi government says the death toll has gone up to 21 people in the hostage situation we have been telling you about. there was gunman wearing uniforms and suicide bomb belts that stormed a building and took a bunch of people hostage including local politicians. the death toll is now 21 in this situation happening in northern iraq. >> mark: the attorney general's office is urging state regulators to top and a $3 million settlement over their failure to provide documentation. pg&e executives are defending the agreement saying it does set milestone to prove it is moving gas safely to its pipeline from the bay. owed on the settlement as early as april 11th. tonight san bruno will be opening a resource
