>> live from the bay area new station this is the kron 4 morning news. >> darya: could morning and thank you for waking up with a kron 4 morning news. >> mark: an easier morning to get out of bed temperatures are starting to warm up bin record temperatures. >> james: everyone has a spring in their step this morning warmer temperatures today and tomorrow. nice stretch of warm weather. this is concord and will muckrake you will probably see some of the warmer temperatures today. warmer in the north bay but nice and toasty along 680. record- breaking heat tops are headlines this morning with state warm through friday. we will break down more weeks to the record- breaking heat in just a bit. as for temperatures right now we're warmer today than yesterday. 13 degrees warmer in antioch, five

degrees warmer in san jose and antioch. as you head out this morning there is a warmer air. current temperatures 48 in san rosa, 53 san francisco, 51 in concord and a word. this afternoon it will warm up to potential record-breaking temperatures. a.m. mainly '50s and '60s. by noon we really revved it up hitting the '70s. a few spots getting into the '80s. as we hit the afternoon of lot more warned on the map showing in the spiri80's. but tonight wl it off too much it will be mild evening for you as well. here's where we are temperature was

city's expense before the hillside bush's one into the street. they moved concrete barriers and just place in case the moves. they're begging the city to step in and even all the landslide is not on city property. >> they said our home owners' association on the land so it's our problem. >> we can push the bill. we have no intent on fixing help here >> darya: fixing the hell would cause millions of dollars. by unanimously declaring an emergency the city council has opened the door for state and federal money which could help the residents who bought homes that they can live in or sell. >> mark: there have been many mudslides, roads back in more than held their moving tons of debris, this massive mudslide brought down dozens of trees of the weekend appeared shutting

down a two-lane road completely since sunday. 80 residents on the other side of the road were affected. some left the home is in the fire broke you have to have four-wheel-drive for that. they have no electricity, the road crew said the return to work as fast as they can, but they can only get one loader and nighttime due to limited space. it could take weeks. so far they have removed 80 truckloads of mud and debris from the roadway as the work continues today. capitola city hopes the declaration of city of emergency paves the way to get funds. damage estimates is 70 million. crews began repairing that ruptured drainage pipe which was responsible for the floods. homes and businesses say without state or federal aid they will not be able to rebuild. coming up at 6:30 a.m.

alive report from an update on the work being done. >> darya: one person was taken to hospital after one alarm fire broke out in sunset district. this turnaround 3:30 a.m. at a building in the 1300 block at 19th avenue. that fire was under control in an hour. right now they are on scene of another fire in san francisco. this time in so much. jackie is life. >> reporter: i'm at seventh street those fire trucks are on granite street. crews got out here and there were quickly able to extinguish the flame spirit a lot of damage done. there is an apartment building about the photo lab that the fire was. the person inside of that apartment was able to sell to evacuate. no

oakland. upper '70's in the south bay 78 san jose and fremont, morgan hill 79. your 78 forecast shows a warming trend continues through the week, thursday will probably be the hottest day of the week getting up to 85, cooling off slightly for the weekend but still no real rain in the forecast except for maybe in north bay sprinkle saturday. let's check the drive. >> george: we haven't been tracking any hot spots and we aren't now. no problems in the bay area. the bay bridge westbound, 2 minutes ago the metering lights had not been activated. likely within the next 10 minutes we will see that occur. no problem on the approach to the bridge, all roads leading to the bay bridge looks good even out of san francisco and heading back towards east bay. no big delays

get close to the 80 degree mark. towards 9:00 p.m. we are still looking for 60 in 70 degree temperatures. it will be warm evening into the 9:00 p.m. hour. our afternoon highs show you 73 in san francisco, 83 napa, 76 for oakland, bring down the nimitz freeway upper 70's. now lookit your 70 forecast we have warmer conditions continuing on through tomorrow, tomorrow will be warmer than today. friday relatively warm, sunny day sunday cooling down the highs getting into the '60s and maybe some north bay showers. it doesn't take long for high pressure to get back in there and warming is up in the beginning of next week. >> george: still uneasy ride with no hot spots around the bay area this morning. no slow traffic even 4583 altamont pass.
