is the governor thought we were getting close on this deal, then he gets a request from republicans that say we want 53 more things done. he writes a note back to the republicans saying, she is done negotiating. then he goes on you to talk about it. i have more on that. >> today have broken off discussions with members of the republican party in sacramento regarding solutions to our budget crisis. >>j.r. stone: governor jerry brown upset with the republicans in the disapproval of how he wants to balance the budget. >> i proposed a plan that is basically have drastic cuts and half temporary tax extensions. >>grant: republican leader said the governor and legislature of the democrats are obviously upset and lashing out. >> there are issues that i think are impossible to resolve at this time. >>j.r. stone: democrats want to renew a tax increase that is set to expire, that would last five years. to do that

you a massive landslide that cut off the main road for several people. we will show you what makes some bay area hills so dangerous to live around. first, kron 4 is monitoring what residents and city leaders are planning to do about a pending disaster in san pablo. kate thompson is lighted city hall where the meeting is just starting. >>kate: just minutes ago the residents involved in the slide started to rise. you could see people still streaming in at this point. the media is not been allowed inside, you could see them all gathered around hoping to talk to any of the residence or officials who come out of the meeting. this was originally supposed to be for the entire neighborhood but, city officials have now just restricted it to just the six affected homeowners. it has been a wild week for them. they had in dealing with so much destruction to their homes and neighborhoods where they lived. here's a look back at what has gone on over the

past week. the landslide began last thursday it affecting seven properties, six homes in a vacant lot on by the city. homeowners were told it is safe to stay in their homes but the situation got worse. on friday 3 homes were yellow tagged so residents were no longer able to sleep in them over night. if the death of another property was sold at least stabilized city officials red tagged and said it will have to be destroyed. on sunday, the city manager issued a local emergency declaration saying the situation was putting the safety of people in their property in extreme peril. crews were also higher to take down large trees that were leaning downhill and for ending the homes below. how what will happen now is this is the first in a long line of meetings, they have this meeting tonight with city officials and engineers. tomorrow all of these residents will be back here at noon, that is when they

will hear from the city council finding out more information about their situation and the possibility of receiving some funds. the city is considering donating $6,000 to a fund that has been set up for the victims. reporting live in san paulo kate thompson kron 4 news. in >>pam: the south bay some residents of the allman in valley are also battling a slide. it is threatening the road in hillside below some homes. if robbed shows us some of the mounting damage there. >>rob: half of this one lane private road off the new home and in rhode it has sunk 3 ft.. if you can see rain water is still seeping out of the hillside above threatening to wash out the road all together. if new cracks like this one are opening in the road every day. the pavement is buckling in cracking as the water eats away at the red below. just below large

and train an apartment building by walking into the crash door behind a car of our resident who lives there. then the video according to the public defender shows the officers with other stars visible anymore on their body walking down the hall unquestioning resident at the end of the hall about the smell of marijuana that was coming from his apartment. the public defenders said the smell was not enough probable cause for search and seizure so they would need permission from the residence. the officers in question told a judge on the stand it that they did get permission to enter the man's home, but that man represented by the public defender tells a different story. he said police officers forced away into his apartment using a gun. according to the public defender the video proves that he didn't give them a chance. the public defender told us in a press conference, the plea >> report says went inside his unit for approximately 20 seconds and then returned to the hallway and said
