francisco's looking at massive budget deficits, there cuts threaten core services such as police and street repair. the city's latest deficit is increasing now from $306 million to $380 million. it is fueled by increasing labor costs even though the city is operating with your workers. the budget projection over shattereshopshad growing jobs. >> james: this is video from the central glass, jerry brown exempted them from paying state taxes and disaster relief funds related to the blast. it killed a people and destroyed 15 homes.

pg&e is threatening to pullout of the $3 million settlement with the commission over allegations of flawed record keeping. according to the chronicle pg&e will call off the deal if commissionaires ask about its past practices and a public hearing on monday. apparently they don't want that. last month regulators declared pg&e did not comply with the march 15th deadline to produce records to prove safe operation. we'll give you the latest as it continues. >> reporter: this is the magnitude 7.1 that shook japan yesterday, we hear it killed three people. a tsunami warning was issued for areas. the new killer planuclear plant has no w problems because of the new earthquake. meanwhile they're

of course running out for funding bill to prevent a government shutdown by midnight. so it's actually 9:00 p.m. our time. president barack obama met late in the night and narrowed the differences and no agreement was made yet. democratic leaders say lawmakers are 70 percent of the way on the numbers. they are wrestling over social policies like abortion and the environment. government shutdown would mean for lows for hundreds of thousands of workers and services they provide. o'clock and some of the impact. national parks and museums would close, tax refunds would not be mailed lot and if you applied for jobs, the government will not verify the immigration status. the post office will stay open so the tax deadline will not be pushed back. homeland's security would
