rain still to the north of santa rosa, this makes it to the south and to the rest of the bay area by monday morning i will tell you more about that coming up. >>marty: the powerful storm system tearing through parts of the south has no claim the lives of 35 people. taking a look at new video from north carolina that for many of the deaths were reported. you can see all the damage left behind by a series of tornadoes that touched down there. emergency teams are searching through the debris for anyone who might be trapped underneath the rubble. at 1.250000 people were without power in north carolina. off authorities are when the death toll is likely to rise as they go through homes and businesses. >> were beginning to recover from what we believe is the most widespread tornadoes we have seen since the mid '80s. we believed her there are perhaps as many as 62 tornadoes. that have touched down across the state to and

many of our counties and about 20 counties that are clearly identified. >>marty: storm system claimed its first life on thursday won the award through arkansas, mississippi, alabama and georgia. we're learning more details about the suspected serial killers joseph naso. authorities say they found 30 year-old ratings for naso which detailed the torture of a woman who lived upstairs from him. he never harmed her. he was in court thursday but because he is no defense attorney his arraignment was postponed. he faces four murder charges all related to cases from the 1970's and 1990's in northern california. he lived in the bay area for much of the chair still visited one neighborhood in piedmont where he lived for more than a decade. >>j.r. stone: it is darker side but this piedmont house behind me that's were joseph naso live to the '80s and

'90s when he was raising his kids. with new information breaking in this case i spent most of my day at this building in san francisco. specifically in the mission district when naso used a live and i spoke with a neighbor who was there the same time. he said naso is in the basement section often to play his music very loud and that's one of the reasons why he was eventually kicked out. he said naso also drink a lot of the alcohol and said he didn't trust him. two other people told me according to a detective naso had written about torture in them. they also live to that building years ago fortunately that never happened. he is now currently behind bars. the thoughts of chemical the thoughts of people in reno. they say joseph is somebody who is unpredictable, unstable and in their words creepy. now talking with that neighbor in the michigan area he told me

controller has fallen asleep on the job. the latest incident happened saturday morning in miami. it handles high-altitude air traffic, the faa said 12 other controllers and two managers were working in the tower at the time. the sleeping controller has been suspended. these schedules are set to take effect in the coming days to try and address the worker fatigue a problem. -or also learning more details this morning about the suspected serial killer joseph naso. authorities say they found 30 year-old ratings from naso which detail the torture of a woman who lived upstairs from him. he never harmed her. he was in court on thursday but because he has no defense attorney his arraignment was postponed. he is facing four murder charges all related to cases from the 1970's and 1990's in northern california. he lived in the bay area for much of the time. kron 4 hafiz in the neighborhood and piedmont where he lived for more than a decade.
