in other news around the bay, in oakland a former member of a group charged with carrying out orders to kill three men including journalist bailey took the stand and is on defense. it antoine matthews charged with three counts of murder, along with pay the former leader of a bakery he is accused of ordering the killings back in 2007. and this man keith is now in police custody accused of burglarizing an elementary school in east palo alto back in december. police linked him to the crime after finding blood at the scene that matches the dna. police say he admitted to the crime when confronted with the dna evidence. in san francisco mayor ed lee hopes to see more city crews filling pot holes. today he and several supervisors introduced a $248 million bond measure which they hope to put on the november ballot. this would replace a

city bond that has recently been repaved. more changes coming to the bay bridge. and knew the door for the east bound approach to the toll plaza will be constructed over the memorial day weekend. the bridge will remain open but there will be lane closures over night saturday and sunday. the new lanes are expected to be open monday may the 30th. a downloadable patch has been created that allows people test drive the new lanes. -- app. >>reporter: here's a look now at the bay bridge as it exists. you could see the cars coming off they have to make a right turn and left turn in order to get into the toll plaza i will push the button and show you what the new alignment looks like from exactly the same position. you can see the curves with the new asphalt are much more gentle, of broader sweeping turn it so it should be easier for
