story out of sunnyvale. we have a fire, an apartment complex caught fire, the blaze is out, but they are working right now making sure that it does not pop up, you know, no hot spots for us. we are out there live with the details. we have been talking about all the people that have been displaced by this fire. it was an apartment complex and more than one apartment has been affected. >> a couple of them have sustained a severe damage. as you can see from the roof, they do have the fire out. there is one on top,-- there is water on top, they had to surround and drowned the fire. the firefighters had to wait a while before being able to go inside. a lot of people had to leave their homes. not just the fire damage, but the smoke,

the water damage. some people tell me they got up early and warned others to get out. >> we think he was looking around and breaking windows to let people come outside and he got his arm injured from the glass. >> of there was a deep plane, and then all we saw was this big black cloud come up. and then the fire and started racing down the street and then all of sudden started to spread everywhere. >> what happens now, we just wait so that we can go in and see if we can get clothing or anything. i hope we can save something. >> this is the actual image of the fire at its worst on someone cellphone. now the person you just heard from is one of the number of people that was forced out of their homes, the firefighters could not cut a trench into the roof when they could go into the building. there was a lot of water and smoke damage. those people in the two

apartments that burned were looking for a place to stay. one woman told me that she helped one man that suffered some serious burns. the fire officials tell me he was not her suffering life- threatening injuries, no others that we know of. but as you can see the fire is out now we're just investigating the cause, and people trying to find a place to stay. this morning has been very destructive for the people here at the kelly into the apartments-- calienta apartments. >> 31 the year-old giovanni ramirez has not been charged with the attack outside of dodger stadium. but has remained in jail for parole violations. the police say they found a gun at the house where ramirez was arrested. if it does time determined that there isn't enough information about that fire arm, he could be set free. about 11 people provided an alibi for

ramirez saying that he was at his aunt's house during an attack. however bryan stow remains in hospital in critical condition. >> a great white shark popped up on the beach yesterday and a lot of people were there for father's day. now the parking is limiting access at stinson. they say it look like it was about 8 ft. to 10 ft. long. big enough that you not want to mess with it. they have dubbed the waters off the golden gate the red triangle where more than 200 and great white sharks look for food. this will remain in effect until thursday. there are other beaches to go to. you will want to go somewhere because it is going to get caught. >> now the great ohio will be close. now in the meantime we have a beautiful morning, surfers out there and james fletcher is watching the big warm up.

>> depending on where you are, it will be a great day, we have about 70 near stinson beach, warming to 80 degrees down by santa cruz. a nice day to be on the water. here's a live look from the roof camera, blue skies, the sun is coming out in the beginning to warm up. 60 in oakland, 62 in concord, 75 and antioch. the temperatures may drop one degree, or two degrees. and then start kicking in a be one hour to hour from now. it is a mile start, and an early indication of how warm it will be. antioch is about 75 degrees. it will warm up to about 80 degrees or so this afternoon. we are looking at 10:00 a.m. temperatures in the '80s, but look at the '90s beginning to come on the map, and the red for the north bay, east bay and livermore valley. by 3:00 p.m., it is really high near san jose. zero and a good

'90s for a number of the city's down there. we are looking for '70s and '80s and but it will be a warm evening nonetheless. now here is where the temperatures will go this afternoon. beginning in the north bay, 95 in fairfield, santa rosa, 94 in petaluma. 78 in san francisco, 82 in san mateo and down and redwood city will be in the low 90s. low 80's in oakland, a warming up to the mid '80s in hayward as you make your way south bound on a 80. now on 680, you are in the '90s. down in the south bay you are looking at 90 degrees, and 93 in los gatos. today it is hot, tomorrow it will be even hotter. a closer look coming up in our next report

about 10 minutes from right now. you will not believe what you will see coming up next seven days. how this traffic? >> it is an easy ride, no hot spots. typically heavy on 580 and highway no. 4. those are usual delays, they're not hot spots. at the toll plaza, steel and easy ride, for the west bound 80 commute, there are no delays on the upper deck, and early morning stall a problem with the debris cleared out before it had a chance to create any problem. the san mateo bridge is lighter than usual. there is no back or delay coming from, or going to the toll plaza. the golden gate bridge ride is also a nice one. it is back up street. --free. the time is 6:08 a.m., and we

>> they're still battling the wildfires in brazil. there are too big fires burning, along the mexico border there are an additional 1500 homes that were exactly the afternoon. the fire jumped a highway, and was blowing towards the community of cierra vista it already made an and least 70,000 people--7000 people evacuate their homes. then we have the wall fire that has been burning for about 2 1/2 weeks. that blaze has consumed about 510,000 a.

and destroyed 36 structures. >> severe weather across the midwest. take a look in the studio, and this is the tornado just as it's ready to touch down. tornado watches were in effect in done the county. no injuries, or major damage to report. but more severe weather is expected across the nation today. >> things are getting off to a hot start in the bay area. to give you more news faster, let us go to jackie cecil, in martinez this morning. the temperature will get up to the '90s, today even hotter, tomorrow how does it feel right now? >> i think a lot of people feel like if it will stop right now, it would be perfect because it is probably like 68 degrees, or 70 degrees. they have a long way to go, we are talking about 90 degrees, another 20, or 25 degrees to go before they see the

temperature gauge stopped. beautiful morning out here. the other thing that you noticed out here in the shot, all of the grass with the wet spring that we have had, the grass has had that much more the chance to grow. you can see how high it is out here, that means that the grass will get even higher on the hot days. that is what we need to look out for. the careful, kitkat defensible space. that is the key. but if you have something to do like running or bike riding, right now would be optimal to get out there because it is absolutely perfect weather. >> tomorrow the same thing and if you want exercise, you have to do it early because before you know if you cannot go outside when it is 80 degrees or 90 degrees. >> and it is recommended that tomorrow afternoon, if you do not have anything to do outside been avoided. now

here is a live look, not a live look, but a recording of the bay bridge approach. clear conditions out there. sunshine is nice and bright, warmer than it was yesterday and then tomorrow will be even warmer. clear at mild with temperatures dropping back down to the '70s. the highs this afternoon will get into the '90s for a good number of locations. we will show you that in detail but first let us look at what is outside your door. we are looking for low sixties in the east bay. down in the south bay, we see a temperature of 62 degrees. antioch is the warmer spot, 75 right now. that is just telling you how warm it will get for the folks out in the delta. we have a mixture of '70's and 80's in the east bay. how you will see how many areas are showing a 90 degree weather. that is indicated by the color of red. now we will see eat

solid '90s for the napa valley, livermore will be a hot one as well. down in san jose and los gatos, you will see temperatures in the low 90s. by 9:00 p.m., will pull back on the temperatures it will still be a really warm evening for those on the east bay. along the coast, we will see '50s and '60s. here is how the temperatures should pan out this afternoon. 92 napa, 95 for fairfield, 78 san francisco, low to the mid '80s from oakland all the way down to fremont. then san jose will be in the '90s, los gatos at 93, and mid-90s out in the delta. now here's a forecast, but tomorrow will be even hotter. temperatures will be in the upper 90s and possibly in the triple digit territory. the past tuesday we began to clear things off a day by day as we head into the weekend. that is the way

the next seven days in shaping up. the us see how your right is shaping up for. >> we are not tracking in the hot spots, that means no major delays. i have been watching 580. there was a stall reported, there may be an accident near grant. where there is a slow commute, that could turn into a hot spot. we will track that if it does. now it still looks good at the toll plaza. looks as though we have already activated the metering lights. as 6:21 a.m., we see back up forming in the center lanes. traffic has been exceptionally light to the bay bridge both this morning and for the last couple of weeks. your right to the san mateo bridge is problem free with no delays in the westbound direction. that is the right side, it is still lighter than usual, eastbound traffic is problem free. over to the golden gate bridge, 1 01 and south

bound. and easy ride, mark. >> now the great highway is closed, we show you the area here on google first. this whole section of the southbound side closest to the ocean will be closed, the department of public works will be removing san that piles up in front of the walking path between the great highway in the ocean beach. the crew will remove an estimated seven to 10,000 cubic yards of sand during the week the scheduled work hours are 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. from today until friday. from a police--from only can to sloth. and beach visitors should avoid that

calienta apartments. here are some pictures from earlier this morning it started a little before 2:00 p.m.--2:00 a.m.. people said they had to knock on doors and warn others to get out of there before was too late. only one person suffered any real injuries from burns. but it was a fast-moving fire, the firefighters said they could not get into the building for quite some time. eventually, they cut a trench through the roof and were able to get in that way. there was quite a bit of water damage, about two apartments were damaged by the fire, the rest were damaged by water and smoke. again, the fire is out, they got it under control by 4:30 a.m., and by 6:00 a.m. it was all over. these people are waiting to go into the depositions. whatever may not have been damaged, by water and fire. but the fire department is still deciding whether or not to let any people in the sun damage part of the building to go

>> this story just coming in, we learned that mubarick may have cancer. they are not saying what type of cancer, but there is evidence suggesting that the 83 year old had stomach cancer. as we know, he was ousted on february 11th by a popular uprising and has been in the hospital since april in a ritzy resort. he is supposed to go to trial on august 3rd that he ordered the killing of protesters during the uprising. but the noon news this morning is that he may have cancer. we will have an update this morning. >> 6:52 a.m. is the time and we will be back with
