>> the police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found floating in the water near fort mason this morning. it is being investigated as a homicide after a bloody trail was found last night. j.r. stone is live in san francisco with the latest on the investigation. >> many people that i talked with in this area are surprised by what happened and surprised at where it happened. you can see the fort mason center behind me and the boats and the marina. look at this border, that is where the body was found at 6:30 a.m.. the body of a 19 year old, or a 20 year-old male. after they found the body, they found a pool blood right here in the parking lot. you can see the dried red minutes. they followed the trail over to that building that is where it ended, right outside of a post office. i want to go to the video because the officers were here for a

good portion of the morning. close off marina boulevard creating a problem for travelers, but they were trying to look for new details in this case. at this point, the police are very tight lipped, they are calling this a homicide. we do not know if they have a suspect in mind because they have not released any suspect information. again, they are calling this a homicide case. as we come out alive, look at the water, nothing is going on right now. however the detectives tell me as to the divers will be here tomorrow searching the water, as to what they are searching for, they have not yet said. new details are likely in the next couple of hours, reporting live in san francisco, j.r. stone with kron4 news. >> 28 people have been displaced after a fraternity caught on fire near san jose state university. fire cost almost $2 million in damage, the firefighters said everyone inside was sleeping during the fire and were

awakened by the fire alarms. >> all i could hear was people screaming and knocking on doors saying get out of the house right now there is a fire. i got out of my bed, stormed out in the hallway. we made sure that we went all around the house, got everyone out, we left the building and were in front of the house and it was a little smoke, nothing that after we call the firefighters and they were here i thought would be under control. >> everyone managed to get out of the house safely, a firefighter suffered second- degree burns to his hand. one person is dead and three others including a pregnant woman is wounded after a drive-by shooting in west oakland last night. it happened on the 800 block 32nd street. it occurred while the victims were around a van that was parked they were talking and listening to music. they identified the man that was killed as 18 year-old deante

williams. they say the pregnant woman was not life threatening, and her child was on her. now the california legislators will not be receiving their pay checks any time soon. today, the state comptroller announced that the budget that was passed last week was not balanced, because of that they will not get paid. teresa estacio has the break down. >> of the they control appointed to these numbers, he said his analysis showed that the budget committed the 89.75 billion in spending but only provided 87.9 billion in revenue leaving an imbalance or deficit of 1.8 $5 billion. not only is the state mandated to pass a balanced budget, but last year's election the voters approved proposition 25 and 28 for which call for all legislative pay to be forfeited. if a balanced budget was not passed by june 15th deadline. shown

>> and another case of pat poisoning just days after this man, 7072 year-old man was accused of poisoning his neighbors animals, at least six dogs and one cat have been found dead, or dying. >> this neighborhood on west point in a grant wood is grieving for the loss of six dogs and a cat, all likely victims of poisoning. monday night, three families came home to watch their pets die. >> my husband said to me he is dying in the rise. he started to seizure. >> my dog could he was having seizures in the backyard, i took to the vet hospital and one block before i got there she stopped breathing and was not responding so she passed

42 square miles and has burned 58 homes, some evacuation's were lifted today but more than 1600 people are out of their homes, it is the largest fire in state history. in texas, there are at least 20 fires burning across the state, the biggest has burned about 5,800 a. so far. it has destroyed 30 homes, more than 1800 other homes and businesses remain under evacuation order. in flint michigan, more than one dozen homes were set ablaze friday night. a similar arson happened in flint in march of last year after the mayor announced that nearly two dozen firefighters would be laid off. now in florida, some testifies at least--at a little cayley remains may bit--may have been in this
