pride weekend, it is here. there are tons of events planed in the bay area. we have video to show you a transgender march. hundreds of people gathered there to listen to music, hang out and have a great time. a lot of people will expected to be filling san francisco for a lot of gay pride celebration this is weekend. we have a report on what drivers with expect in the city this busy weekend. >> expect to see a lot of break lights saturday and sunday if you are planning to drive around the bay area. this was the scene in san francisco. the traffic may be even worse over the next two days because of two big events. gay pride in san francisco, the giants play at at&t park, nascar and the so nor ran county fair. thousands are expected to line

market street for the faye pride parade. the market will be closed both in the morning and afternoon. plan ahead for the possibility of back ups on the bridge and highway 101. plus, highway 37 and 121 will mostly be jammed with nascar fans since the other lanes are close in both directions. nascar drivers practice on saturday and the sprint series cup race is sunday. >> a lot going on. coming up on the crown 4 news weekend, a child pornography case that police say now involved a mural at several city schools. and we will take a live look at san jose where the sun is starting to come out a little beat. we will take a look at the forecast and beyond when the crown 4 newscast comes back.

crews will be focusing near an area where a search happened last weekend for a missing girl, . she was fiscalling after a walk on may 27th. a nonprofit youth art director was making 100 sexually suggested tiles in school mosaic murals. me have been found and removed at sunset elementary school and three others. he made art in other schools, as well. he was out on bail and arrested earlier this month for collecting child pornography.

all right. welcome back. taking a live look at mount 10. you can see a look above the chows. sunny up there, but will our weekend be sunny. we will check in with jacqelyn bennett who that is the forecast. >> starting today with fog around the bay area that will scale back around san francisco by noon. the seabreeze will have quite an affect on the forecast today. temperatures will range from cool to mild. cool closer to the coastline and mild for the inland valleys. let's take a look at the fog.

pretty extensive out there this morning. it will start scaling back a little bit now. by 9:00, we see fog over oakland and hayward. and this afternoon, the fog won't push back that much, hugging the coastline. the san francisco area also seeing fog, as well as oakland and those locations. temperatures 70s by noon today. 72 in fairfield, 76 in santa rosa. later on the temperatures will be a mix of 60s and 70s. # 7 in fairfield. we will go up to 79 in fairfield. 79 in santa rosa, 61 in san francisco. 66 in richmond. down south we will see temperatures again in the 60s and # 0s. a mix of 60s and 70s for the

peninsula. 72 for san jose and 75 in the loan reading in antioch. not a whole lot going on. clouds moving town the north. we will see the systems drop down along the coastline to tuesday. we are in the summer. we are talking about an unseasonably strong system that will rain to california and the bay area. you can see into the 1:11 hour, we have rain pushing out to the way area. this is unusual for this time of year. an unseasonal cold storm and quite a bit of moisture. we will see a little bit of rain as of right now, but still several days off. this weekend, fog this morning. temperatures in the 60s and 70s this afternoon. warming up sunday and monday. a chance of rain in the north bay tuesday afternoon. bushing into the bay area to wednesday morning, temperatures will cool as a result. little rebounds will come in

the end of next week. it is 8:17 right now. a new survey shows americans are stressing less about the finances now that recession is over. men feel a little different about this than women and people stress about how much money they make. >> reporter: more than 2/3 people say they have financial stress. while people are feeling better about money while the economy slowly recovers, there are differences between men and women. almost 30% of all women say their financial stress is high or overwhelming, while only 17% of men say the same. what makes the situation overwhelming for most people, worries ability having serious debt, living beyond your means or not enough savings for retirement. it is not just those in the high stress categories. overall women report they worry more about money than men do.

couples are better at coping than single men and women, many because they have two incomes. and the most stress comes from those 54 to 55, as retirement looms around the corner. and income levels don't different that much in how they feel. those making $150,000 to $250,000 are just as stressed as those making $35,000 a year. in new york, i am alan chirr on and off. you may get a quick out of this one. some say she belongs in tanew york subway instead of california. some say she may be a special canine, but that award won her an special award. >> this is yoda. >> meet yoda. it is all in the eye of the

there is a hidden cries in the world that should concern all of us. the problem with the crisis is too many men, not enough women. the balance is becoming literally a crisis in much of the world. sit topic of a book called "unnatural selection," choosing boys over girls.

it is written by a science prior for a science magazine based in china. could you explain the problem, too many men, and where this is a problem? >> sure. over 116 women missing in the population of asia. to put that in perspective, it is about the female population in the united states. it is happening in tie juan, albania, georgia -- >> is this a result of abortion? >> for now, that is mostly the story. women going in for ultrasound scans when they are pregnant and aborting when the fetus turns out to be female. >> aside from the moral implications about selecting the sex of your child -- which we could go on about all day long -- and we deal with that

here with ivf fertilization -- so, what are the problems here in these countries. >> where, in these countries, many more men than women have grown up. they are going to great lengthing to get women, buy women. women are being traffickicked in longer numbers. >> where is this happening? >> vietnam is a big source for women from men around asia, because it is poor. men are going there to buy them. >> vietnam also has a shortage of women, doesn't it, as well? >> well, now vietnam is being hit two ways. >> so, in other words, there is a selection preferring males and they are also taking the women out? >> that is right. exactly. >> so, this is a human rights issue for the women being born? >> yes. it is double discrimination. fewer women being born, and women more at risk when they do grow up in these societies as

many more. >> reporter: males. >> what are the social implications if this doesn't change in terms of how the society exists with this imbalance. >> well, there are always issues where there are more men than women. even look at the wild west, where initially there were many more men than women. we are seeing rising crime now in china. the worst is to come. most of these so-called surplus men are still not adults. >> is this a transitional social problem? eventually there will be a balance between preferring male versus female children and it will go way in 50 years, let's say? >> it is happening in developing countries quickly. really, it is not sustainable. in the meantime, they are

good morning. we have a live look from the san mateo bridge. we are trying to get the sun to come up. >> yes. we will see it later in the next half hour. meanwhile, officials are looking into the driving and medical records of a truck driver who slammed into an amtrak train yesterday. two people killed. this is 75-miles east of reno, nevada. the train was headed to emoryville in the bay area when the man plowed into it. about 20 people were taken to area hospitals. the gates and lights were working. and governor andrew cuomo signed the state's marriage equality bill late last night after it cleared the state senate. we report from the capitol of albany, new york. >> in the end this historic

bill came down to four republicans who broke from their party in support of same sex marriage. when the final approval came in, there was an eruption. intense notions of lobbying. republicans were able to secure protection for this organization. democratic governor, andrew cuomo quickly signed the bill saying it would send a message around the country, that there were staunch opponents in new york's archbishop, timothy doeland is done of them, calling the bill a tragic presumption of government in passing the legislation. going forward, now that the bill is signed, it will take 30 days before same sex couples can apply for marriage licenses. mary snow, cnn, albany, new york. and it is gay pride weekend theory here in san francisco. several big -- weekend here in

san francisco. several big events taking place. yesterday the transgender march kicked off in lower park. today there will be a pink party in the castro. attendees not allowed to bring alcohol for the first time ever. san francisco police saying there will be zero tolerance policy for consumption in public places. you will have to go to a bar of restaurant if you want to drink police will issue citations for those who appear to be intoxicated. officers will search bags and use wands for protection. several women were involved last year after a brawl involving police. and a 19-year-old man was shot and killinged and two others were injured -- killed and two others were injured when someone opened fire into the crowd. and don't forget the big parade kicks off tomorrow morning at 10:30 on market and beall

now you are looking live outside. well, after the royal wedding. people were able to donate instead of giving them gifts. the royal charity gift fund raised $1.7 million. that includes proceeds from the sales of the wedding sound track. that money will be split up between 26 different charities.

the area. temperatures ranging from cool to mild. cool closer to the coastline and mild for the inland valleys. take a look at the fog. pretty extensive. push into the valleys early this morning but now it will scale back a little bit. fog over oakland and hayward by the 9:00 hour. later on this afternoon the fog will not push back that much. fog hugging the coastline. san francisco in the pennsylvania and mostly cloudy in those locations. as for the temperatures, this mongoloid in the 50s. -- this morning in the 50s. later on in the afternoon, temperatures will be a mix of the 60s and 70s. 77 in fairfield. in the bay area, up to 79, maybe in fairfield. 61 in san francisco this afternoon. 66 in richmond. down south we will see temperatures again in the 60s

throughout the day today. temperatures only in the 60s and 70s. the cool seabreeze wind making it into the inland valley. tomorrow less fog expected. that will mean slightly warmer temperatures. comfortable in the low 80s for the inland valley, and low 60s along the coastline. big changes in the extended forecast. you will not believe what we have in store for next week. details coming up. our top story this morning, the deadly train crash that you see here. this is amateur cell phone video. a chaotic scene. smoke billowing from there. federal investigators trying to determine why a struck driver didn't stop before plow into that train that was headed to the bay area, emoryville. at least two people are dead, dozens more injured. here is the scene recorded on someone's cell phone that was on board. you can see how just absolutely chaotic it was there.

kron 4, dan kirman, went to emoryville to try to find out how this crash happened. >> reporter: this was the scene after a semi slammed into a amtrak train at a railroad crossing 70-miles east of reno. it happened about 11:25 friday morning. witnesses tell the highway patrol the railroad crossing arms were down and the flights were flashing when the semi slammed into the fourth car, bringing it and another car on fire. >> we get hit by something. a big ball of fire comes in. we jumped out the window. >> you jumped out the window? >> yes. it was on fire. i try to unlock the doors and started helping people out on the train. >> reporter: the train enroute from chicago to emoryville carried 200 passengers and 14

crew. amtrak says one crew member was killed, as well as an unspecified number of passengers. those injured were transported to a elementary school where they eventually boarded buses enroute to their final destination. the safety board is sending investigators to the scene to try to determine how this accident could have happened. at the amtrak station in emoryville, kron 4. also this morning, san francisco is celebrating gay pride weekend. a big victory in new york state where lawmakers approve add bill making marriage for same- sex couples legal. new york is the sixth state in the united states to allow same sex marriages. the governor signed the bill saying this is an important step not just for new york, but the entire country. >> when what this state said today brings this discussion of

starting today with fog around the bay area that will scale back to the coastline of san francisco by noon. the seabreeze will have quite an affect on the forecast today. temperatures will range from cool to mild. cool closer to the coastline and mild for the inland valleys. let's take a look at the fog. the fog push into the inland valleys earlier this morning, but now it will start scaling back. by the 9:00 hour we see fog

over oakland and hayward, and this afternoon, the fog hugging the coastline. san francisco also seeing fog. the peninsula and oakland, as well. they will stay cloudy in those locations. temperatures mild in the 50s. by noon we will warm up to the 70s in a couple of places. 72 in fairfield, 76 in santa rosa. 60s and 70s this afternoon. 77 in fairfield and 60s along the coastline. 79 in santa rosa, 61 in san francisco, 66 in richmond. down south temperatures again in the 60s and 70s. the coastline temperatures in the 70s. a mix of 70s for the peninsula, 72 in san jose and 75 in live mother and a loan 80-degree -- livermore and a loan 80-degree reading in antioch. we have clouds moving up to the

north. we will see a system drop down along the coastline tuesday. we are in the summer now and we are looking at an unseasonally strong system that will bring rain to california by 11:00 on tuesday. starting to push out by wednesday morning. by wednesday afternoon the rain will be well gone. this is very unusual for this time of year. an unseasonally cold storm with quite a bit of moisture. we will see a little rain as of right now, but it is still several days off. as for this weekend, fog this morning. temperatures in the 60s and 70s this afternoon. there is the chance of rain on the north bay tuesday afternoon. pushing through the rest of the the bay area, into wednesday morning and the temperatures will cool as a result of the rain. we will bring the temperatures back up next week. and san jose saw a big jump

in gang related murders this year. with local budget issues there, the city needs all the help it can can can get. kron 4 reports out the partnership will work. >> reporter: the san shows police department teamed up with -- san jose police department teamed up with the customs law enforcement, also known as i.c.e. the police chief said in the past he would not cooperate with officials, but as his department plan to lay off more than 100 police officers, the chief says he needs every tool to combat gang violence. >> if you are a criminal and engaged in criminal activity or gang activity, i don't care where you come from, we will do our best to put you behind bars. >> reporter: the department of homeland security will assign two agents starting monday. chief more race says the focus will be solving gang related

good morning. it is 930:67:89 federal investigators are looking into the collision between a tractor- trailer and an amtrak train that was headed to the bay area. this accident killed at least two people and injured 20 others. this happened yesterday near reno. the driver of the truck was among those killed.

amtrak says the train was headed to emoryville when it was hit by the cross at a railroad crossing. the mother of one of the pleas said she is relieved her -- of the employees said she is relieved her daughter survived. >> i am so grateful she is all right. my heart goes out to those other families, mothers, grandmas, fathers, of kids and parent that is didn't make it. >> the national transportation safety board is now investigating, going through the wreckage to try to figure out out this deadly accident happened. that was the reaction on the floor of the new york state senate floor last night after they enacted the marriage equality act. the vote, 33-29. pretty close. the original sponsor of the bill, governor andrew cuomo signed it into law a short time
