anthony murder trial minutes after she was seated today, the judge call for an indefinite recess. the attorneys were offered-- arguing over the prosecution's rebuttal. they say they were trying to offer new information they were not told about. anthony is accused of killing her two year-old daughter in 2008. in georgia, this is to be a house, all that is left is a pile of rubble and the family in a hospital. three people were in sight of this home when an explosion tore apart. their rush to the hospital. their three dogs are missing. firefighters believe this is the result of a gas leak, the family recently did renovations. a fire plant in north texas was imploded today, some of the detonators overheated on the first try, but then it crashed to the ground in a cloud of smoke. the sale of the still copper and other equipment from the 50 year- old plant will be recycled.

it's >> , one day after 67 police officers were laid off because of budget cuts in san jose, it is now the fire departments turn to make do with less. this means fewer fire engines and redeployed fire services. on a rotating basis, fire engines like this one are being pulled from active duty because of the recent staffing cuts. rob fladeboe explains how this works. >> i am at fire station no. 9 here in san jose. it is one of two fire stations across the city that is affected by the so-called rolling brownouts. what does that mean? on most days, they have a fire truck the one behind me here and a fire engine on duty at all times. but not today, today the fire engine, this one is out of service along with

the one that fire station no. 29 in north san jose. normally there would be nine firefighters on duty, today there are only four, the others are scattered throughout the city as needed at other fire stations. if there were to be a fire in this district because of the rolling brownouts, that means a fire engine from another station would have to cover this a duty, leaving their district a little more thin. another component, the number of firefighters that are manning a fire truck like that one will be cut from five down to fourth. as a way to save over time to help the city balance the budget. all of this coming just as the weather and the fire danger are heating up. in san jose, rob fladeboe with kron4 news. >> fewer resources may mean a longer fire response time. it >> we expect the response times to increase. we hope that we will not see an

continued to dump rain over the central highlands. in mexico city, the sewage field the river and it has overflowed into a nearby suburb. the national hurricane center says that the rain could continue for another 48 hours. in texas, a tornado hit two counties late yesterday, the police had themselves awful dealing with the aftermath where a twister ripped a roof off of one home. you can see the pictures there. the police said that a driver was hurt when the debris flew through the car window but she was not hospitalized. the national weather service says after finishing up with texas, the twister across over the rio grande and went into mexico. in florida, down trees and power lines in fort lauderdale yesterday, the streets were flooded and thousands of people cross the miami dade and broward county lost power. it also grounded travelers at airports in fort lauderdale and miami.
