>> i am outside the entrance to the civic center station. i wanted to show you a video of what is going on. right now, we see about four dozen protesters. nothing unruly. they are passing out fliers and talking about this incident last sunday, a man was killed. bar police say the man was on wielding a knife at officers. they know the investigation has to be finished above their indication is at this point art has stepped over the line and changes need to be made. >> the bart police have yet again killed one more and as a person and another way. we are here today to demand the disarmament of the bart police, that they cease to exist and their duties be transferred over to a more responsible organization. >> among the people that we are seeing, we see some familiar faces from the oscar grant

temperatures will stay on the cooler side all the way through the week. dense fog in the morning and drizzle on the details coming up in just a minute. >> in the news around the bay, police say that a triple homicide in richmond this week and started as a drug deal. they say that three men inside an apartment got into an argument. several shots were fired from several weapons and all free men died. there were two people taken into custody for questioning. police say they are not suspects, but persons of interest. in san jose, police are searching for a 13 year old autistic boy. paces garza was last seen at his home around

12:30 p.m.. he was gone when his parents woke up this morning. police say garza has the mental capacity of a seven year-old and has not run away before. at this time they do not suspect foul play. police believe a fire set at skyline elementary school is a case of arson. firefighters responded to the blaze at about 10:30 >> a man on the edge of the overpass above highway 4 was there for more than two hours starting at 7:00 a.m.. chp shut down the highway and about 9:30 a.m. officers are able to get the man down and put him under arrest. in the area man is being featured on a television show about courting because of the property that he lives on. along the redwoods near boulder creek

and see if there is a residual value. >> rob fladeboe, kron 4 news. >> this just in, protesters are interrupting the evening commute for many people in the bay area. they are protesting the most recent bart police officer shooting that happened last week at the san francisco civic center station. dan kerman is there with the latest. >> this civic center station is closed right now for both muni service as well as bart service. trains are not even stopping at this station. they're going straight onto powell or bad s. -- invevan ness. protesters became loud and a vocal. some of the protesters began boarding the train and slowing down the train, pounding on the train. at a certain point, the train was delayed from leaving because of

all of the protesters. >> one protester tried to get on top of the train. police eventually stepped in and then the train was allowed to pull off. police at other stations at this point are making the presence of wear. protesters have gotten onto the trains and going to various stations throughout san francisco and the east bay. there is a police presence not just here at the civic center station, we are also told there is a police presence at powell street, possibly montgomery and embarcadero as well. the bottom- line is, protesters are protesting last sunday's

>> emergency crews and russia have mounted a larger rescue operation after a cruise ship sank. officials confirm at least 58 people killed after the boat went down about 40 mi. east of moscow. 84 people have been rescued. dozens are still missing. because of the disaster is still under investigation. in

cyprus, at least 12 soldiers killed during an explosion on the naval base on the southern part of the island. 30 others ran injured in the blast. the explosion was the result of ammunition catching fire on board a cargo ship. officials still do not know what caused the blaze. in japan, there were five couples who suffered in the march 11th earthquake and tsunami got married at an aquarium on sunday. 100 relatives and friends gathered to celebrate the marriage of the five couples from their disaster hit areas. how a couple's said vows and exchanged wedding rings. they were warmly congratulated by everyone including a show by the dolphins. >> a look at our extended forecast, a cool and foggy forecast through the rest of the work week and then warming up over the weekend. a full forecast coming up in a bit.

>> kron 4 is on top of a developing story. a protest against bart gets rowdy. one protester is trying to climb on top of a train. this was seen earlier at the civic center in san francisco, the same station where a man was shot and killed by a bart police officer last sunday. dan kerman is alive with the latest. >> i am a top of the civic center bart station. it is closed. there are no trains stopping, neither muni or barge. no one is allowed in. everyone has been cleared out. let me show you what happens. the protest began quietly but about five minutes after 5:00 p.m. the crowd grew to well over 500 someone tried to climb on top

of the train. protesters and boarded the train, pounding on the train into the train was stopped in the civic center for a good 15 minutes. at a certain point there was a show of police force. protesters back off. those that were on the train stayed on the train. there was enough of a police presence that at that point people were able to let the train go and the train moved out. at that point, more police moved in and shut down the civic center station. protesters say this is about the shooting. enough is enough into things and bart have to change. >> the police have yet again killed one more innocent person that they could have dealt with in another way. we are here today to demand the disarmament of the bart police, to demand that they cease to exist in their duties be transferred over to a more responsible organization. >> bart says that the close to the civic center station for safety reasons. protesters of no regard for the elderly, those

where the girl was found dead. there were three other girls sleeping over when they all became ill. they thought that it was food poisoning that it was later determined to the girls had been drinking alcohol. police are awaiting a toxicology report to determine if any additional substances were in the drinks that the girls were sharing. a san francisco woman accused of stealing more than $100,000 from renters miss another court appearance. great to marie smith was arrested last year for accepting deposit money from 14 people who were trying to rent an apartment on california street. according to police smith would then disappear with the money without turning over the keys. she has missed three court appearances so far. a $200,000 arrest warrant has been issued. >> the attorney for the man accused of stealing a picasso sketch out of a gallery in downtown san francisco says that his client will plead not to guilty. the agreement in the case was delayed from today until friday. rjr stone was in
