actually is a clock, the national debt clock polls of how much money the government has borrowed, on or about august 2nd this number will reach the maximum amount currently allowed by law. it has never happened before and most economists agree that ceiling to raise the debt ceiling could be catastrophic. if the government cannot pay its creditors, no one will want to loan the u.s. money. interest rates will soar, the stock market will tank. if the government does pay its creditors it will not be able to pay its other bills like military paychecks and social security. it is a loser lose proposition and york mayor michael blumberg says that he is tired of politicians playing chicken with the debt limit. >> you just cannot threaten people that we will not pay our obligations even if you're just using it as a negotiating ploy, it is just irresponsible to do so. >> congressional republicans and democrats met again at the white house today there was no sign of any progress.

>> the great plains states are in a heat wave in it is affecting more people than just oklahoma city. the water pressure was pushed beyond the limit of this 12 in. pipe, a shot where more than 40 ft. in the air temperatures are expected to be in a 100 and oklahoma this week. it is not just oklahoma struggling through a heat wave, nearly two dozen states are feeling the heat. melissa has more on the areas that are baking in the hot sun. >> forecasters say that is just the beginning of the heat wave, 23 states remain under he warnings from oklahoma to connecticut. from the deep south to the ohio valley. in illinois, 51 year-old man died on sunday due to the excessive heat.

been linked to another homicide case according to the vallejo police he is now wanted for three murders and one of which happened just three weeks ago, j.r. stone spent the day in vallejo and add new details. >> this evening officers with the vallejo police department need your help with catching a wanted fugitive. this is why talking about jonathan walker he goes by the nickname of john john. i shall his mug shot before my story, but that is when he was only one for two murders, now he is one for three murders. this most recent case happened at these apartments back in 2008 when a man was shot while riding his bicycle he has also been linked to the michael ross murder case that happened only a matter of weeks ago. ross was an aspiring rapper the police officers that i talk with says walker is a dangerous man. >> it does not appear that either of the vallejo cases are related it just appears that this is a guy where if

the week, take a look right now throughout our satellite story. fog up and down the coastline. we have a system up to the north that is keeping the strong sea breeze winds intact, keeping the winds coming in off the coast, and that brings us to the fog and. tomorrow we will see fog bay area wide, we could see drizzling for the inland valleys possibly down towards fremont and up towards the north bay. that is just how dense at this fog is. we will see the fog into the east bay and up through the north bay and down the peninsula finally starting to clear back during the 1:00 hour but not for san francisco we could see some patchy fog down the peninsula. later in the afternoon we will see more sunshine for the north bay and possibly near sfo. 74 santa rosa, 59 san francisco and the same thing in

look at evidence in the case against a california couple who held jaycee dugard captive for 18 years. here you to see video of a parole officer touring the antioch home of registered sex offender phillip garrido. it was in the backyard of this home that garrido and his wife and nancy hill jaycee dugard captive. the kidnap her back in 1991 when she was only 11 years old. despite numerous role inspections authorities did not find jaycee dugard nor two the two children that he fathered with her until 2009. they pleaded guilty to charges of kidnapping and sexual assault in late april. for the garrido is serving a forger 31 year sentence, his wife nancy is serving 36 years behind bars. today was the debut of jaycee dugard memoir, it has already hit number one on amazon.com in addition, the book is like off shelves at bookstores in the bay area is entitled a
