a.m. after people in the rock bridge neighborhood of oakland made the discovery. the burning body was at the corner of ivn hoe and chabot road. leah says although she did not witness with the oakland police say was a female body being burned in front of her home around 4:30 a.m. thursday morning, however she told me that when she later learned after the police arrived that it was a woman's body being covered by this yellow park, she became overwhelmed by her thoughts and emotions. >> i have a daughter, and she was somebody's daughter, somebody's friend at some point. it is just awful. as i would like to be able to pray for them, and think about them and keep them in my thoughts. >> she says it this quiet rock ridge neighborhood will forever be changed as a result of this gruesome incident.

will take you through that. home sales are down 5% from june of this year compared to june of last year. more bad news, the median price also down for bay area home sales compared to 2010, down 8%. if you want to purchase a home, the median price in the bay area right now is $377,000.10 year ago it was $410,000. so you can see the drop in home sales. we will use the big board to look at the pricing trends in the bay area this board is a piece of technology that we are using to help explain, we will start down in south bay, the home sales are down nearly 4% from june of 2011 compared to june of last year. prices also down about 3%. in east day, sales are down almost 5% and the

information about the unsolved case. >> we begin with kron4 teresa estacio shows us what police believe it is critical to meet one on one with the garrido family. >> on the left is a picture of a missing michaela when she was kidnapped at age 9, on the right jaycee dugard when she was kidnapped at age 11. as you can see, they look similar, this is what hayward police have been eagerly awaiting to interview the garrido family. >> physical similarities between the two of them, if you compare the photographs a side by side, the could be sisters. there are some similarities between phillip garrido his likeness in that era of time that michaela was kidnapped and the composite sketch that was put together in connection with production and they're pretty similar as well. >> there was more to possibly linked garrido to the little girl's disappearance.

hayward investigators failed to find any information connected and the search the compound back in 2009. >> her mother says there are still compelling reasons and that some of garrido is one of six persons of interest that the police are looking at in her daughter's disappearance. one reason is how closely he resembles the sketch of the suspect which you can see here in comparison to a photograph that was taken of him back in 1996. >> my daughter's friend really thinks that it could be him, she thinks that looked like the kidnapper that she saw. >> now the revelation that the garrido family were videotaping young girls which started around 19891 year after michaela was kidnapped. >> that means that he was out searching for kids, i know he was in a halfway house in 1988 i am not sure if it was all of 1988 but i know that he had freedom to
