police say that to happen here on the 1200 block of park avenue about 9:00 p.m. monday night. we talk with the mother and sister who together were able to fend off the alleged kidnapper. >> of this 14 year-old was with her three year-old sister in the courtyard of their apartment complex on the policeat thi approached a toddler. >> she sent it does little pretty girl, and then she tried to grab her. and then she said i'm going to take her and by my daughter some chocolate. i said no, that is my sister that is jasmine. >> that is when denise took her sister to the apartment but then the suspect followed and confronted her mother at the door. >> my little sister was behind my mom and she tried to grab her. >> they said the woman pushed the mother and then grabbed her arm and she said that she was really hurts out and she would prove it.

right now is very hot in our inland valleys also hiked down in the south bay 89 degrees in san jose right now, 91 los gatos, we are in the '80s for the bayshores and 90's for the inland valley, 94 concord, also in livermore and 71 in san francisco. the temperatures are up over what we saw yesterday quite a bit down in the south bay. you know what, it may be hot out there but we have not broken any records, at least not yet. here are the high temperatures compared to the record for today. it does not look like we will break the record of 100 especially not livermore. it is a little closer to the record in hayward and oakland. but we will talk about the heat that will stick with us tomorrow. i will tell you all about it in a little bit. >> richmond police are

searching for a suspect in an afternoon shooting that happened today. it is right outside of a community center where the kids is out of the centers of a man shot. the police say the victim is a 20 year-old man, this is the 20 to murder in richmond this year, eight of them have happened in just last month. arrests have been made in a murder case involving a woman whose body had been found burning in an upscale oakland neighborhood last week. investigators got tips from the community that help them to track down the suspects. >> community outrage over a horrific crime, that is what investigators here at the oakland police headquarters say led to the arrest of two suspects in the monaco rodas murder case, she is a 21 year old from the fruitvale district, she was beaten in one location and then later driven to the rock ridge location and it was there that her body was set on fire where. but they say it was an overwhelming number

of community tips, people coming forward and talking with the department gang unit that led to the rest of the two suspects. we do not have much information on them except that one is 21 years of age and the other is 30 years of age. as far as the connection between moscow and the two men, they're leaving that under wraps. however, the department gang unit is involved, that is a indication of the way the case is going. right now it is in the hands of the district attorney's office and we expect to hear charges against the two men on thursday. >> coming up at 6:00 p.m. we will hear from this woman, a mother of of the woman whose body was found burned last week. a follow- up to the protests in san francisco that took a violent turn last night. the police arrested 43 people none of them will be charged with assault, but it will be cited for failure to obey

law enforcement. there were some clashes between police and protesters this is one of them, a fight that broke out after about 20 people were already in custody. a photographer for the chronicle, a woman that you might see here, she was pushed to the ground she was not hurt, blur can roll it was broken. our own reporter j.r. stone was briefly detained before being let go. those being arrested tried to walk away but the police had built a barrier surrounding them that help in the arrest. there was some damage, you are looking at a hole after the window at the bank of america was smashed. inside of the castro muni station, protesters were causing a lot of problems. they were hitting things and kicking at the muni property. police responded by throwing smoke bombs. as you can see the smoke began to spread in the distance as the police responded to all that. during the arrest officers

found things like gas masks, a large hammer clearly not items necessarily intended for a peaceful protest. teresa estacio not take a look at the people that were arrested in the chaos. >> the vandalism, fights and smoke bombs that erupted during tuesday night protests led to the arrest of several dozen people. police and safe for the most part most of those people were from out of the area here is a breakdown. in total there were 43 arrests, 17 people were from san francisco, one person from the bayview district of san francisco where the recent officer involved shooting took place that leaves 26 people remaining they say that they came from pittsburg pa., a burbank, irvine, san diego, hayward, fremont, and oakland to name a few. most of the people were detained for a vandalism, police tell us that they're still

reviewing videotape and investigating damages to access whether the crimes are misdemeanor or felony is. >> this is a photograph of the man that the police shot last week in the bayview district, kinnock harding. police shot him after they say he opened fire on them. he is also the main suspect in a seattle murder. there is a meeting tonight to talk about the anchor brewing over the shooting in that neighborhood. >> this is the bayview opera house directly behind me sort of a community center here in the bay view area. this meeting is set to start and 6:00 p.m. tonight. but i want you to walk with me and look across the street because some people have been outside with their signs and voicing their opinions just one day after 35 people were arrested. >> we're just trying to publicize to the people and to the neighborhood with police, we all have to have a common ground because we all have to live here,

in the oakland raiders are looking at stadium solutions together. they have been meeting to discuss the possibility of sharing a new football stadium. >> there definitely have been some discussions between the two football stadiums but there is no agreement in place for the teams to share the stadium at this point. >> and both played in two of the oldest stadiums in the nfl, so far this silver and black has been unsuccessful in rallying a new facility in oakland, and their release of the oakland coliseum is expected to expire following the 2013 season. meanwhile they have cracked a project in the works but it carries a huge price tag so it possible deal with the raiders could be the best money moves. >> there are a lot of different hypothetical and different situations that could happen but as of right now our plan is to move forward with our plan to build it here, and who knows

what the future will hold. >> location will be a key issue, the san francisco 49ers already have plans to build a new stadium here near their headquarters in santa clara. they have already secured nearly $150 million in suite revenue but as to this to get this new stadium built is close to $1 billion. >> today we asked the fan's about how they feel about sharing the stadium with a rival. >> initially i do not like, but i guess we have to deal with it and suffer to play with the raiders, but if it is better for the city as a whole, i guess i'm for it. >> i think will be a smart move because it would make something really beautiful and up-to-date and modern for everyone in the bay area. it would just be great to have a first-class facility. >> in addition to going out on the streets and asking people we put up a pole on

police that shooting sparked a dangerous protest that cause some damage around san francisco. again we are watching as they get ready for the meeting it will begin at any time. grant lotus what does it reveals the demonstration shows some of the damage. >> on tuesday some of the people protesting that bayview shooting out of hand. that protest started at the lawrence park but it quickly spilled into the mission, into the castro, people were going ever where all during rush hour traffic 35 people were arrested. we have some video for you to see the police officer was charging in tackling a man on the ground and that got everybody all riled up. the watch this, coming in from the left side of your screen this photographer from the san francisco chronicle gets pushed to the ground her camera breaks. we will slow this down and take another look. this is one of the images that will be lasting from this process. that won't unfortunately not

injured, but as you can see things were getting out of control. now here we are down at the muni station that guy with a hammer, and this woman also with a hammer. i will slow this down she is just bashing the muni machine. and there you can see a smoke bomb outside of the muni station. this is where the crowd said you cannot scare us off. and here, these people are going to be detained, or arrested. they're trying to leave the police will not let them you can see how physical some of the officers are getting. that officer was the second to use his baton in a forceful manner. a bank of america was vandalized, and then 35 people were arrested cited for failure to obey a lawful order by a law- enforcement officer police found gas masks, hammers and other things in people's backs. fortunately no serious injuries. we examine

when the police say that this woman myra approached the toddler. >> she said it is a pretty little girl and she was grabbing her. she said i'm going to take her and by my daughter some chocolate. i said no, that is my sister. that is jasmine. >> that is when she took her sister to the apartment with a suspect followeand confronted the dark--and confronted the mother, they say the woman pushed a mother and grabbed her arms saying that she was her child and she would prove it. >> she said something about testing blood to prove that that was her daughter and my mom's over. >> by her mother's instruction, she held her sister back and out my 111 woman took off after neighbors came to see what was going on she was picked up by the police about one block away denise says that she wants to put the whole experience behind her. >> i'm trying to think

he jumped off the platform ran across the street through a crowded plaza. i cannot tell you how badly that i feel, the police department feels, as captain of the station for two years. i love the bay view community. >> i have been at this opera house more times than i can count. [booing] >> i am telling you right now, i cannot tell you how sorry i am that this act of violence played out at this plaza. regardless, during this foot pursuit at some point in time, the suspect turned to his lap, fired at the officers and the officers fired back. this is the account that we have so far. i am giving you the information that i have so far.

show you what is going on. i guess it would be safe to say it is a little out of control right now. this was called by the police department to try to get the information across to the community try to let them know exactly what happened on saturday night. the chief was actually taking mike for a while earlier this evening he only spoke for about five minutes or 10 minutes but different people in the audience approached them, they began yelling in speaking to the point we could not hear the chiefs beat. --you could not hear the chief speak. we were hoping that this would be able to accomplish something, but looking from the outside corner of you, it seems hardly the case. in the distance you can see the chief is talking with some of the community members i know that they were hopeful that he would take the mike again, but every time he has taken a micro so far, the people have approached him.

they have began to yell, is almost looking to be an unsafe situation when he does take the mike. you wonder about security here. this is a meeting where you do not have officers in riot gear. we do not have more than 15 officers inside of this building and this is a building that has around six --300 people in it right now. a lot of people are concerned and very upset over what has taken place in the last week or so and even before that. i know some people are hopeful that the chief would speak again but i do not think that will happen. one of the public information officers gave the nod no i did not think so at this point of view of the ec in the distance are those that live in the community, those that are concerned about the community and they want something done. really right now they've got some answers and there on the microphone and speaking, that is the way that this is going in the bay view area.
