owners have approved a new deal, the vote was 31 to zero. the only team to abstain from that vote were the oakland raiders. now the voters--players must vote on it and improve the before any activity can began. the head of the players association still says that there are outstanding issues

[music] >> you may remember that dramatic video, jury deliberations have started in this trial, a vicious church shooting in february of last year, they say that marcell buggs opened fire heading to teenagers, both of them lived. he was charged with burglary in several gang crimes. all the witnesses pointed to him his lawyer says the is not responsible the jury expected to reach a verdict within a few days. the san jose woman accused of trying to adopt a three year-old girl from her apartment is facing charges of attempted kidnapping and first-degree burglary. 26 year-old flores had her appearance in court today. she tried to lure the little girl from her apartment using candy, the little girl and her sister went to their home,

is pretty hot, not as hot as it is today. >> about 10 degrees cooler actually in the north bay areas, but take a look at all the red still on your screen indicating '90s for places like any of and fairfield. as we look at temperatures of around the bay area we see '60s, '70s and '80s. like i mentioned, we still see '90s for places like the antioch, the good news if the majority of the bay area is cooling bag down to corn and yellow indicating '70s and '80s. as the ticket look at the morning lows, there will not be too low after all. most lead mid-50s around the bay area, by 7:00 a.m. tomorrow 55 san francisco, 52 up through san rosa and napa, 55 degrees for fairfield, 58 for antioch. as we head into the afternoon hours will not see any warm weather around the bay area about the mid '80s for the warmer inland spots. 83 for san rosa, 87

for navato and napa. 83 is probably one of the warmest areas tomorrow but will keep it cool at the coast. we only get into the low eighties for places like los gatos, san jose and morgan hill. coming up to my next report i will show the seven day around the forecast and show you the cooling trends for the next week. rule >> i am grant lotus alive with a traffic advisory that will shut down u.s. 101 for 4 nights in the south bay. i want to give you a closer look at exactly what we are talking about. take a look, 101 will be shut down overnight from the east capitol expressway, to 280 and 680 this will be shut down for four nights. approval be doing instruction work of that as a part of the 101 improvement project. starting tonight, at 11:59 p.m., just before midnight that portion will be closed

until 5:30 p.m. on friday morning--5:30 a.m. friday morning. it was shut down again saturday night in close again, 11:59 p.m. and then it will be closed until 7:00 a.m. on sunday. and then lastly, it will close sunday night at 11:00 p.m. and reopen at 5:00 a.m. on monday just-in-time for the morning rush. caltrain will have message signs to help others negotiate the closures. this is expected to be finished sometime next summer, but the next four nights, i will 1 01 will be close. >> the fbi is searching for a man that was charged with obstructing his own mother, the 85 year-old woman reported missing from zero home in oregon on may 21st, authorities believe that her son may have to convert to the bay area they do both have local ties. this is her on the left--this is him on

said the man held a knife against aside, she gave and the person he ran off and the police are still looking for that suspect. fairfield please have a man in custody suspected of assaulting his mother, 39 year-old michael austin they searched it for throughout the morning until they caught up with him they say that he put a gun to his mother's head. >> police say that they found michael austin at a local hospital after a friend got him off there. it was a long night and morning for investigators who first showed up at his mother's home around 8:00 p.m. last night after getting a 911 phone call. >> he pointed a gun in her face and said he would kill perch will occur near unconscious she fled the house and into a neighbor's house. when the officers arrived they saw with the lead to be the suspect in the crotch of the house through the window. them up for the next several hours, the man the police say have mental issues was held up inside, the police burst of

story. a swat to stand off in union city, residents are told to stay indoors. we are live to show you what is going on. >> gangs targeting one another in retaliation shootings across richmond. in response, the rich release form eight joint gang task force to get the situation under control. >> officers closing in on a man armed with bottles. this is bart police shooting a man to death. >> police opened fire on a 19 year-old man almost one week ago and san francisco bay view district. but now a shocking detail reveals that the officers may not have killed him. this is video from the incident went kenneth harding jr. ran from the police, the police say that he opened fire and that is when they fired back. we are live its medical examiner's office with new information about the bullet that killed harding.

>> just about two hours ago they release this information about the gun shot wounds. we know that one entered and exited his left leg, one injured his neck on the right side and then entered his head. take a look at this, this was a photograph that was shown to us earlier today. what you are looking at on the left, you can see the bullet that was recovered from his body, that would is followed by the one that was found in his jacket. you can see that the two bullets come from a 380 caliber handgun. now on the right you can see the two other bullets, you can compare those yourself there from the san francisco police department become from a 40 caliber handgun. earlier today, the commander of the investigation talked about the weapon that was found at the scene. >> based on the findings of the medical examiner's office we believe that mr. harding was fatally wounded by 3 80 caliber bullets, we

know that the 45 caliber gun that we recovered early on in this investigation is not the same caliber as the bullet that was recovered from his head. i want to take this opportunity to reach out to the community for help in locating the correct weapon that was used by mr. harding i understand how the community feels, but our investigation is based on total facts. >> the police still have the weapon in their using it in the investigation they're offering a $1,000 reward on anyone that has any information on that weapon that they're looking for. >> a developing story out of union city, and arrests has been made in a swap to stand off, it has been going on for hours. residents were told to stay in their homes, they were not immediately told why. we are live in union city and we have been following this all day. >> union city police now

have two men in custody, one main suspect that they just took into custody a very short time ago. they say they believe he is the man that engaged in gunfire with them. and other associated founders before that, both were hiding in this neighborhood. ticket is some video that we shot of them taking the man into custody. he is the man that matches the description of who they were looking for they received several calls after 10:00 a.m. this morning, 911 calls from residents as saying that there was an intruder, with the police arrived on scene they say the man shot at them and they returned fire and then he fled, they have been checking this area all afternoon. let us hear from the lieutenant. >> it appears that the swap operators have just taken into custody the initial person of interest in this case who we believe may be the shooter from this morning. he certainly fits the description. i believe that they are in the process of confirming his identity. i do not have that

information yet, i am sure i will shortly. >> they say that they found him hiding several houses away from where the first incident happened. they believe that he may have just given up, it is unclear how he was taken into custody but they have him now. police say they will remain in this neighborhood for the next couple of hours as they continue to check all the yards and make sure that all the residents are safe. >> a new video shows a fight between the bart police and the man that the police say was armed with bottles and one night. officers opened fire in that incident killing the man it happened at the civic center station in san francisco. dan kerman is live with that new video. >> here at bart headquarters in oakland, we can tell you that we have learned some new information today. we learn that only one officer fired on the suspect and he shot him three times. earlier today the police chief walked us through the platform video

and it gave us a little more insight into what happens. >> the civic center bart platform video was position so that you never see the suspect. according to the police, the video shows the train pulling into the civic center station. the two bart police officers exited the bart police trained. they approached a suspect off camera, one officer moves out of the site of the camera. the officer the ec began to put on gloves. at a certain point, you can see the officer backing away. police say they believe that this is when the suspect through the bottle at the police. seconds later, the author draws his service revival. it is at this point the police say that the suspect has raised the knife over his head. the officer tells him to drop it, at this point the police say that the suspects through the night, and the officer responds by shooting him three times. the knife that you see in the blue circle ricochets off the train and lands behind the officer.

just 25 seconds passed between the time that officers exit the bart train and the time that the officer uses his weapon. the knife on the left the police say it was thrown at the officer the knife on the right was found on the suspect after he was shot. >> we have no idea was that mr. hill all that night and why he took the actions that he did. but again, based on the video, the officers felt that their lives were threatened and that is why they took action. >> unlike the oscar grant shooting were there were multiple videos in this case there is this one platform video that they released today. four separate investigations are going on, we shall have the results of those but we do not know exactly when that will happen. coming up tonight at 8:00 p.m. will take a closer look at this new video. reporting live, i am dan kerman with kron4 news.

>> as we take a look at conditions around the bay area, the cooling trend is on. here are conditions over the golden gate bridge. it is a different story as we make our way inland, still seeing temperatures in the '90s, plenty of sunshine for warmer in lynn's eyes. the fog returns for most of the bay area. and then we anticipate a cool down around the bay area but more on that in your seven day. as we take a look at where the temperatures are at this hour, we see a mixture of '60s, '70s, '80s and '90s around the bay area. and '90s are pushing their way back, we see more '70s and '80s around the bay area keeping it cool. this indicates the '60s in san francisco and san bruno, even other places as well. as we take a look at where temperatures will go into tomorrow afternoon it will be completely different story. the temperatures will not reach 90 small, only the

mid '80s for the warmer areas anticipated 81 degrees for places like santa rosa, 80 for those in sonoma. keep the cooler at the coastline. low '70s along the peninsula and a mixture of '70's and 60's for the east bay locations. low 80s along the san ramon valley. so quite a difference compared to what we saw yesterday as we turn our attention to the south bay, will see upper '70's and low 80s the up to 78 degrees in sunnyvale, and 79 for those in santa clara. in my next report i will have the seven day around the bay. >> at 6:00 p.m., arnold schwarzenegger and maria shriver are moving forward with their divorce. what the former governor does not want to pay to his soon-to- be ex-wife. why president obama has to pay a traffic fine in london and my ticketmaster says that they want to stop issuing paper

>> we are now falling to grass fires. you can see why so many homes are being affected. the fire is centered at the intersection right here. but it is fretting about 100 firefighters are there, helicopters and planes are dumping water on it but as of right now it is only about 30 percent contained. we have a crew on the way and we will keep you posted. >> a major highway closure coming to the south bay. a long stretch of 101 will be close to the drivers. it will run from the capitol expressway to 280.

corn >> richmond police are investigating a homicide, all of them in the month of july that in addition to nine other serious shootings. investigators are blaming the rival gangs. today the rich in police and the con accosts research department--today the richmond police and the contra costa sheriff's department said that they will announce their united front. >> i do not think we will solve the problems and one night, the next week or the next couple of years ago we will stop the rounds of shootings.
