like solyndra will always be americas business but that does not mean that the government can just sit on the sidelines. the government still has a responsibility to help create the conditions in which students can gain an education so that they can work at places like this. and on to the north can get financing so that they can start a company and new industries can take hold. >> as recently as yesterday the vice president and senate majority leader harry reid were at a clean energy summit in venice and they were defending federal subsidies for projects like these. the administration is now bracing for some nasty we told you so feedback from political opponents. however the vice president said if we do not make this type of clean energy investment it will cost the u.s. allowed more in the long run. and today the energy department is pointing out that the company got that low but it was sought by both the bush administration and the obama administration. >> in the meantime the

republicans are really going after the loan guarantee program. >> this has been the center of political controversy in recent months. house republicans recently subpoenaed documents related to the solyndra loan. >> of this is what happened to the company a file for chapter 11 bankruptcy deployed 1100 people all of whom were let go to that. last year they received a $535 million federal loan from the department of energy the ceo of the company is named brian harrison a veteran from the intel corporation's and they are the third solar company to seek bankruptcy protection this year alone. >> a construction accident san francisco since for workers to the hospital this all happened this morning that is at 19th and illinois. you can see on our map, maureen kelly explained what happened.

condition at san francisco general hospital the fourth injured man is listed in fair condition. >> now and south berkeley, the police say that vandals slashed tires on more than 50 cars in the past 24 hours and cost to the police started coming in around 7:00 a.m. this morning. police say that california street was really being targeted, calif. from about blake street to 62nd was hit hard also russell street where it intersects with california, the 1600 block of julia street and also tires slashed near the intersection of julia and king street. i have some video that we shot from the scene right here. as you can see the tires were slashed as last. cars had to be told, many people had to call cats when it walked out of their home court to find that their cars were totally on functional all

the next several days, the one dry winds coming from offshore will really take over and choke off the sea breeze when making it all the way to the coastline and that will be much warmer conditions, significantly warmer thursday no low clouds and some predicted 70th the coastline to the upper 90s in the inland valleys. the warming begins tomorrow in the '80s for the south bay and 90 los gatos, 91 morgan hill and 84 and milpitas. the inland valleys will hit the '90s in nearly every location. mainly in the '70s for the east bayshores, but 80 degrees on mark.
