ready for a warmup today. temperatures could climb higher than they did yesterday. morning fog along the coast. as we head into the afternoon a lot of sunshine expected for everyone. temperatures expected to climb into the 80s and 90s and land. the fog is certainly not widespread. different and yet today the fall is expected to stay along the coast. the cooler spot will be along the coast and the beaches. right now temperatures are in the '50s. about 10 degrees warmer than that in the livermore valley. eyes will

be in the upper 90s and flirting with a triple digits. in livermore we broke into the triple digits. through the east bay temperatures will stay in the '70s and '80s. we're willing to the upper seventies in san mateo and low eighties for redwood city and palo alto. here is your sunday showing us the hottest day of the week. we will stay warm thursday and friday with a lot of sunshine expected. the pattern of morning fog and afternoon sun continues into the weekend and cooling off significantly by saturday

and into sunday. let's kill look at your ride with george. >> quite commute and quite in the traffic center. there are no major problems or hot spots to slow your right around the bay area. we're looking at the bay bridge in the westbound direction. we're just starting to see the beginnings of a back up. this is just at the time the metering lights are activated. they could have just been triggered or are likely to be. your ride on a san mateo bridge, there are no metering lights or backups reported at the toll plaza for the westbound ride. a smooth commute in both directions. the volume is definitely building up. looking at your ride on highway 101, your commute is still easy to miss out on direction. there could be

money and a big chunk of it is savings. during the recession many contractors are willing to go down on their bids. california rose are almost always rated as some of the worst in the country. let's take a look at some of the numbers being provided by caltrans. all and all they say there are 276 projects gone on in this state right now. $11 billion are being allocated to those projects. as i said earlier, 20 percent of the highways in this tour de california are rated as good. it is a welcome sight for anyone who spends any time on the road. it is like driving on a fresh set of carpet. >> you just have to watch your speed. you are going so smoothly sometimes you do not realize how fast you're going. >> increased security this
