berkeley. a student found dead in the parking lot. we have crews that have been uncovered so far. >> one year after the san bruno gas line explosion, that neighborhood is coming together to remember the tragedy and to focus on rebuilding their lives. >> at 5:00 p.m., the woman accused of murdering nursing student michelle l caughte made her first appearance in court in hayward. this is video of giselle as a god who was arrested earlier this week by hayward police corps trained le on may 27th. that was the day she was last seen at kaiser hospital. she was on her way to the vehicle parked in a hospital garage. she was not seen or heard from since. has the media shows you what happened in court. >> there was no medical excuse for giselle as bonn on friday, the pregnant woman killed her former friend was well enough to stand for alameda county

judge to read the murder charge she is facing. wearing a red jumpsuit she showed no visible sign of emotion during a court proceeding. the judge asked her if she understood the charge against and she simply nodded her head yes. the judge assigned her a public defender before she was taken back to jail. although several family members and friends were in the courtroom there did not appear to be anyone here who identified themselves in support of giselle as a bond, not even the father of her fog year-old son. he did not even a lot to tell reporters what he showed up. as the bond is scheduled to return to court on monday to enter a plea. >> the family of machel was at the courthouse today. they spoke to kron4 about today's court proceedings >> . coffee our focus is still to bring her home. we cannot push that point any further. it is our number one. what hurt >> back. we just want to

tags like these need san carlos street are up 30% from over a year ago. 40,000 separate tax have now been documented across town. some mothers may be considered graffiti art in or mold locations away from the public eye, laws that is all right vandalism. walls and windows in already blighted neighborhoods like this along highway 101 are typical targets. increasingly, as had to be seen on utilities and other public infrastructure. a recent census counted 23,000 tags in san jose, in increase of two to 82 percent over a year ago. fences, freeways, walls and sidewalks have been hit as well as abandoned vehicles and delivery trucks. if caught, taggers are cited and repeat offenders prosecuted and ordered to pay restitution. in the past painting over the graffiti in 24 hours has discouraged tagging. too often, newly

school may be closed. enrollment is declining throughout the district. officials say they do not need as many schools for the 38,000 students that remain. >> we have all 101 schools. that is keeping us from concentrating our resources to build a bridge programs to serve students. >> the school closes would take place over several years. there are eight elementary schools listed for possible closure at the end of this school year. >> the schools on this list are not final more definitive but these are the results that the criteria produced. they are temporary, they're up for consideration and ultimately the court has discretion to disregard the results. >> the school closure criteria is based on school
