morning some encouraging news coming from the family of bryan stow, the man that a badly beaten at giants game in l.a. early this year, doctors have moved him out hospital and into a rehab facility. and this video was taken a picasso

yesterday shows him being loaded into an ambulance for transport to a rehab center. one of the doctors treating him gives an example of the progress is made. >> one of my colleagues there said that she mentioned my name to brian and he said tell the i said hello. so i think that is a dramatic improvement from where he started to where he is today. >> bryan stow is not even breathing on his lawn. at this time he is still unable to walk, the doctors are pleased by his progress and they're not sure he will make a full recovery will keep you updated on the status. >> bryan stow co-workers have been following his progress they're glad that he is out of the hospital. reggie kumar has this side of the story. manley was a news that bryan stow american medical response co-workers have been waiting to here since the 42 year- old was moved from l.a. to san francisco general hospital in may. this emt said the last time that she saw him with an august. >> it was amazing, i got a

bryan stow after he settles into rehab and his family is able to spend more time with him. meantime the two men better suspected of beating bryan stow will be in court early next month for a pre hearing however the men are not expected to enter their pleas just yet. >> on to the east bay, the oakland chief of police anthony bass has announced that he is stepping down. he has only been on the job for about two years, he expressed frustration about not being able to do the job that he wants to do. >> i feel bad and i have full control of the oakland police department. i did not have the ability to make the decision that i would like to make in the style that like to run this police organization. >> he went on to say that officially he will leave next month. council member larry reed says the assistant police chief howard jordan will serve as the interim chief as he did before bats are arrived. he will do that while they search for a new chief.
