suspects. the gang crackdown started in gilroy but quickly expanded. if the suspects are from alameda, santa clara, santa cruz, san benito and monterey. rb fladeboe is at one of this morning's raids in gilroy which is part of an ongoing fact high level of investigation. press as it was known in gilroy targeted known and suspected gang members tied to illegal narcotics.

heavily armed teams of state and local law enforcement officers like this one served warrants at home in east gilroy and at some 27 different locations across five counties. to date, there have been 115 arrests, 27 in gilroy alone. all of them gang members, career criminals or violent felons. state attorney general said the operation has that a major dent in local drug trade. >> we have seen an incredible trend in the trafficking of drugs and narcotics coming up the i five. there is a real connection in terms of what happens in the region and state as a whole. >>rob: this resulted in seizure of narcotics, other illegal drugs, firearms, cash, more than 87 stolen vehicles and a warning from

>>pam: new details on a shooting rampage at a california hair salon that left eight people dead. the d.a. holding a very emotional news conference today calling the suspect scott dekraai immethodical, merciless killers. if he wants the death penalty. >>catherine: prosecutors say scott dekraai had revenge on his mind. the d.a. describes a terrifying scene when dekraai walked into the air salon where his ex-wife were shooting at anyone close enough to hit. >>officer: for almost two minutes, he executed people by shooting them in the head and chest, a victim after victim. >>catherine: photos of the eight people killed when shown at the news conference, decries ex-wife, the salon owner, of various employees into the final victim, a man who was sitting outside in a parked car. this 73 year-old woman remains in critical condition. she had been getting her hair done by her

department officials testified that they had never seen a loan restructuring similar to the one given to the field of solar panel maker. the new round of a fiery testimony and questioning happened on capitol hill today. >>reporter: angry republicans did not mince words. was there an attempt to protect the energy secretary as it became apparent the government would likely use five of 35 million in the solyndra deal? in a key 2011 memo, the department of energy chief counsel offered what she believed was a legal justification for restructuring the solyndra loan. there are two versions of the memo, one obtained by subpoena which is a draft called a memorandum for the secretary. the other was the final version from the dot where the reference to the secretary was removed curious >> why was a subsequent one costs, they felt was necessary to erase his

this year according to new research from data quick. september marked the 12th straight month fact that home prices fell. contra costa county is down 13% from a year ago. prices are down 10.5 in marin and in sonoma down 7.5%. people are paying 6.2% less for new homes in alameda, 6 percent in santa clara county. the price is pretty much across the board are down. sales are up in every county except san francisco to. dan kerman spoke with real- estate analysts in the east bay who say now may be the perfect time to buy.

happened last night just off of interstate 80 in vallejo. there is no word on whether or not anyone has been arrested. >>pam: the family of a man who drowned in the bay while firefighters stood by watching is suing the city and county of alameda. last memorial day, rescue workers watched from the shore as zack waded neck deep into the water, he was suicidal, he eventually died. firefighters did not rescue him because they lacked proper water rescue training. that program has since been reinstated. >>pam: in san jose, police are searching for a gunman involved in a police store robbery at the rancho market. the robert walked into the store and shot a man who was shopping there. he then stole money out of a registry and took off. anyone who recognizes the mexican here is asked to contact police.

alabama controversial immigration law. >>pam: we are starting with a developing story out of oakland, you are looking at a live picture, the occupy oakland protests have taken to the streets. the group is blocking traffic in some areas. da lin is there with protesters off to tell us what is going on. >>da: these protesters have been camping out in front of oakland city hall since monday. earlier, they made a move at about 4:00 p.m.. 100 of them marched over to the jail next to the oakland police department near 4:00 a.m.. they came back to city hall. that took about one hour. during that one hour, it was pretty intense. there was literally dozens of oakland police officers are marching, walking into monitoring protesters. they wanted to make sure that these protesters were not going to get out of hand and

francisco police are looking for this man who is suspected of robbing four banks. the most recent happened at the east west bank at montgomery street all of them have occurred in san francisco the police say if you recognize him from these pictures you are asked to give them a call. and there is another development in the case of the alleged gang rape of a young woman at this house, today the santa clara district attorney says that his office will not seek to prosecute the players involved in the 2007 incident. the d.a. said that during his campaign he would reopen the case after the former d.a. declined to prosecute. he now says unfortunately the evidence was not enough to take to a jury specifically saying that the victim could not remember what happened that night. he also says the several women that helped to rescue the young woman did not see the crime in progress so that heard the case. despite saying that he
