>>mark: thank you for joining us on this tuesday morning. a live look from the bay bridge and from 880 in oakland. they area traffic is starting to build just a little bit. and james has more on the forecast. >>james: take a look at the cool down. we have a list of bay area cities, yesterday's temperatures and what we are expecting for today. look at santa rosa for instance.

>>james: the fog was a problem for many people yesterday, it is there again today but not as widespread. it is streaming through the golden gate and across the bridge and maybe even penetrating toward santa rosa. so far, the rest of the bay area is doing ok.

temperatures this afternoon will look like this, no more eighties around the immediate bay. only 74 in oakland, 75 in hayward, 77 in redwood city. a degree warmer in san jose. >>james: the cool down that we have for today and tomorrow will only last for those two days. we will warm-up for the weekend. look at saturday, back into low 80s.

>>george: there are no problems for 584 highway 88024. on the san mateo bridge, the volume continues to build on both sides of this band but the drive times are still good. the golden gate bridge ride is fog the been no delays from marin county or heading into it northbound. a quick check on the east bay, smooth conditions for 683 danville despite an earlier reported accident. this out there right has yet to slow even for 101 northbound out of the coyote valley, the no. they ride is still a smooth commute with a drive time under 25 minutes from navato to the golden gate bridge.

>>darya: a developing story out of san jose where the search continues for the person who shot and killed an 18 year-old man. the shooting happened in the 1700 block of ross circle just off of highway 85. will tran is in the neighborhood with details. >>will: i spoke to a man headed to work says the victim was shot right there on the sidewalk around 9:00 p.m. last night. he died at the hospital shortly before midnight. i put a phone call into the san jose police department but still have not heard back from them. at this time we do not have any possible suspects. according to the man i spoke to, the victim lived at these apartments. despite what many think he says he is a good kid and was not a gang member. >>darya: this comes after an officer involved shooting on

saturday morning. three officers are on administrative leave pending the investigation. this is the sixth officer involved shootings this year in san jose. also in san jose, at a funeral on saturday, a member of the hell's angels was killed. the funeral was for jeffrey pettigrew, the president of the san jose chapter. police say the investigation into the murder of steve house and has been slowed down because evidence has been tampered >>mark: here is a video of protesters yesterday. police in forest park curfew. yoli

were there in support for. >>justine: this just into the kron 4 ms. m, bank of america reported a net income of $6.2 billion for the third quarter. in 2010 the bank reported losing more than $7 billion in the third quarter. this change in fortune for bank of america comes as it has announced plans for layoffs and bank closures, not to mention a $5 debit card fee. on the other side, goldman sacks put out new numbers. there were big losses for $393 million. that is more than analysts expected.

>>mark: we are keeping our eyes on wall street. better than expected earnings from bank of america. we have flat earnings for ibm and johnson and johnson. the dow jones is down over 2 percent. moody's has warned that they could downgrade the credit rating or france within the next few months. " have those earnings coming out from ibm. we are waiting for apple and intel. they will release their earnings later today. we will follow the latest on wall street and have the opening bell coming up and about 20 minutes.

vegas in the gop aide to presidential debate of the year. jon huntsman is boycotting the nevada debate in caucus after they pushed their contests ahead of new hampshire primary. and the debate is sure to be a test for herman cain who has been rising in popularity and controversy. he is catching heat for comments about keeping illegal immigrants out of the country. >> when i am in charge of defense, i will have a fence that is 20 ft. high, it will have barbwire and it will be electric. there will be a sign on the other side that says it will kill you. >>mark: it shows that mitt romney is now tied with cain. romney, perry, bachman, santorum and new king ridge will participate in tonight's debate.

on traffic. >>george: the metering lights are active on the bay bridge and the backup is starting to form with a slowdown beginning at the end of the east bloc. it is already backing up to the 880 over crossing. your san mateo bridge commute is pretty stable. no problems. a bit of a buildup on the toll plaza but not yet fact of westbound. the drive times are running 13 minutes as the head west towards the high rise and then continue to foster city blvd.. the golden gate bridge ride, 101 through marin county, no delays despite the fall for the southbound ride.

>>darya: a man has a run off with a gold chain worth more than $2,000. it was caught on security video camera. if the pawnshop is in oakland. here he is. this is the guy that walked into the pawnshop on international boulevard and ran out. the clerk says he asked about layaway, took out a credit card and asked to see the gold chain. then he took off. the owner of the shop is offering a $500 reward for any information. >>darya: the "mr. magoo" bandits strikes again. this guy is linked to 12 bank robberies dropped california including the south san francisco area and navato. here are the most recent camera shots that we have of him. the most recent heist was october

the cool down will only last through wednesday. there is a and beyond looks fantastic. it looks like we are in store for a nice weekend. let's get caught up on your commute. >>george: a little better today than other days. the back up on the bay bridge have not grown much beyond this first overpass in the westbound direction. even though the metering lights have been active for about 10 minutes is not too bad a ride. we are not tracking any hot spots. we will continue a bridge check. the san mateo bridge looks good eastbound in westbound. the golden gate bridge has been a problem free coming from marin county and heading to from doyle drive. the ride on 680 south leading down to dublin, heavy traffic 58 westbound but not too bad. south a traffic looks good for 85, the west valley freeway. no delays towards

tran, kron 4 news. >>mark: this comes after an officer involved shooting on sunday morning that left one man dead. three officers have been placed on administrative leave. this is the sixth officer involved shooting in san jose this year. >>mark: a santa cruz member of the hell's angels was killed at a funeral on saturday. police have had difficulty collecting evidence because they say the crime scene has been tampered with. >>darya: protesters say they will stand their ground if police tried to force them out of justin herman plaza.

everyone in the bay area will be enjoying a cooler day. here is what temperatures are doing right now. they have not moved a lot. we do expect them to gradually increase as we head towards sunrise which should be in about a half an hour we will not be close to where we were yesterday at all. the fog is a building near richmond and albany. in the south they still clear of cloud cover. temperatures

this afternoon will be nowhere near reword yesterday. upper 70's and low eighties around day, everyone will enjoy a much cooler day to day including san francisco, 12 degrees cooler today than yesterday. the satellite view shows us why. this system will bring the chance of coastal drizzled particularly tomorrow morning and cooler temperatures for wednesday. as we had through the rest of the week, it looks great. a lot of sunshine with temperatures on the incline.

>>george: has been moved towards 7:00 p.m. we are seeing the volume build on the morning commute. there are no hot spots. on the bay bridge the drive time in the back of have not grown very much. the drive time is still about 12 minutes. not bad coming out of the macarthur maze. your ride on the san mateo bridge has been a problem free all morning long. the 14 minute drive time across the span heading towards foster city from a word. the golden gate bridge ride has been fog you. that is the only issue that you will have to contend with. no delays southbound coming from or through marin county. let's take a look at your ride on the east 83 way, the right

on interstate 80 west down is slowing through colonel and heading down to berkeley. the drive time is up to 19 minutes left hand. north 101 is getting heavy through the coyote valley. we have seen the first slow traffic have 85 of showing up just pass highway 17. by >>justine: authorities are now investigating the theft of a truck that had sound equipment for the bus tour for president barack obama. the bus was parked at a hotel when someone stole it. investigators have found the truck near the richmond international airport said
