>>will: the shooting took place at 10:30 p.m. last night. investigators are still here, seven hours later. apparently, the victim had no idea that this was going to happen. apparently, there was an argument between a supervisor and a co-worker. the co-worker left and came back, firing multiple shots into the building. the supervisor was able to return fire. a couple of other security guards near the area heard the gun battle, they ran over and fired shots at the suspects. the suspect fled the scene. take a look at your screen. here is a picture of the man they are looking for. 50 year-old doran long. they are not sure how long he has been here, but they believe that he could have possibly shot his neighbor in concord before coming here. he took

>>george: if you commute on the bay bridge, start planning for an extra large and drive. the new lights were kicked on because of an accident on the bay bridge. there are two lanes blocked westbound near yerba buena island. a motorcycle accident with injuries. there are two lanes blocked. it could take another 20 minutes to clear the crash. bridge crews are in position to clear the land and move the motorcycle as soon as the fire truck and ambulance leave the scene. paramedics are there assisting the injured motorcycle rider. it is always a problem when a motor cycle goes down because there are usually injuries involved. that is the case at yerba buena island. the ride on the san mateo bridge is a problem free. it might be time to think about heading south instead of heading to the bay bridge. what are likely to see in early back up to

satellite view. the cloud cover is bay area wide. overcast conditions with clouds getting down to ground level. here is where temperatures are at the moment. at as we look out towards the east bay, we primarily see mid-60s. as we look at temperatures this afternoon, it will be a lot like yesterday with just a degree of warming. 69 is the expected high and oakland. we are in a low-mid-70s. san jose and the south bay, mid- upper 70's. it is the mid- upper seventies that we will see in the east bay valley is as well.

economy is still sluggish, but layoffs are not worsening. >>mark: in california news, another mug shot for lindsay lohan. she is facing her fifth stint behind bars. a judge revoked her probation. she was led away in handcuffs after being kicked out of a community service assignment at a woman's shelter. she was released on $100,000 bond. the judge hammered lohan during courtroom proceedings, urging her to complete a minimum of 16 hours of community service at the county morgue before her next scheduled hearing on november 2nd. at that time the judge will decide if she will serve time. she has been released because of jilt overcrowded on four previous occasions. >>darya: prosecutors are saying that the way dr. conrad murray use propofol is criminal. the involuntary

>>george: welcome back to the kron 4 news. if you commute to the bay bridge in the 6:00 a.m. hour, you better start giving yourself plenty of extra time or make alternate plans. there are two lanes blocked on the upper deck because of a motorcycle accident in front of yerba buena island. the fire department is on the scene assisting an injured motorcyclist. there are two lanes blocked. look at the back up, it is rapidly building into the macarthur maze with drive * of over 20 minutes already being reported. a complete traffic check coming up. >>mark: the last of dozens of exotic animals that were set free by the owner are dead. the search for a missing monday is still

active of the month he could have been eaten by one of the big cats. the animal's owner killed himself tuesday evening after opening at the animals' cages. there were lions, tigers, bears and other animals that began scattering around as police hunted for them. eventually, 40 of the animals were shot and killed including 18 tigers and 70 lions. a few of the animals were captured alive and the cincinnati zoo is now caring for the animals. we will be right back as the kron 4 news continues.

confirmation. >>darya: we are live on the scene in el dorado county. we have new breaking news information after a gun battle among security guards broke out last night in richmond. the search for the shooter is now over. will tran is joining us live from the present apartment complex where the confrontation and shooting happened at once night. >>will: i have just learned and eldorado county, within the past half an hour, they did arrest the suspects. there was a short pursued by a police officer, there were no shots fired. the suspect was pulled over in his red toyota tacoma pickup truck and arrested without incident. in the meantime, you can see that investigators are still at the scene where the gun battle took place last night. they are still collecting evidence. here is a picture of the suspects. doran long. according to

investigators, he was upset with his supervisor and fired multiple shots into the building. the supervisor didn't return fire. a couple of other security guards heard the gun battle, they came over and that is when they got involved and fired shots as well. this 150 year-old man escaped the scene but he has been arrested. in concord police believe he shot at a neighbor's home. all four of these security guards were allowed to carry guns. before the gun battle according to investigators

he did get into a confrontation with this 28 year-old supervisor who is expected to survive his injuries.

>>mark: we have a hot spot on the bay bridge. >>george: there is some better news, a lane has been opened on the upper deck of the bay bridge. there were two lanes blocked because of a motorcycle crash at yerba buena island. look at what it has done to the ride. the metering lights are almost as slow as they will go. traffic is coming to a stop at the base of the incline. they have reopened one of the lanes. the bridge cruz should have that later reopened. the only have to remove the motorcycle and any debris and clean up any fuel that has spilled. there were injuries. paramedics have had to of the lanes blocked for a while. the crash will be cleared

shortly, but sadly the damage is done. drive times are already in excess of 20 minutes out of the macarthur maze. traffic is backed up on all of the approaches. you may want to start thinking about alternate routes, especially if you commute and the 7:00 a.m. hour. it is likely that this will get worse and worse for a long time before it starts to get better. other bridges are fine. we are not tracking any other hot spots. the san mateo bridge looks heavy. the golden gate bridge ride is a problem free, so is the commute through marin county. i will get you a quick east bay check as we switched to the traffic maps. still an easy ride for interstate 80 westbound except for the macarthur maze. south bay freeways are delay free. no problems on 101 or 85. the

north bay ride through marin county for 101 southbound is a problem free. in petaluma, northbound 101 @ highway 880160, we're getting word of a big rig accident on the northbound side of the freeway, that is not in the commute directions. >>james: overcast conditions, patchy morning fog mainly seen in the north bay. clouds everywhere and a slightly warmer this afternoon but still a cool day then where we were at the beginning of the week. 60's and it upper 70's inland. we are warming up a degree or two. a quick look at the maps and we will walk you through what we see in terms of cloud cover.

the right lane is still blocked as caltrans crews are trying to clear a motorcycle from elaine's. harder to clear that an automobile and more difficult to pick up than a car. often times it takes longer to clear a motorcycle with a tow truck. the back up reaches all the way to the macarthur maze. even 880 northbound is almost back up to the diamond lane split. well over a 20 minute drive time especially from the macarthur maze. the backup continues to grow westbound. think about an alternate route this is the ride westbound, already heavy. we could see heavier traffic on the nimitz southbound. taking a look at your ride on the golden gate bridge, a problem free. that is a good alternate. traffic

this morning is compared to yesterday at this time. here are some select cities and how that compares to yesterday. we are quite a bit cooler in santa rosa. fog and cloud cover over the heart of the bay. in the north bay the cloud cover is down to ground level. visibility is down to a quarter of a mile. temperatures at the moment are still mild and cool. the fog and cloud cover will take to about noon-1:00 p.m.

commonwealth club about the revival of american competitiveness. recently some of her key campaign staffers have quit and fund- raising members have also taken a big hit. >>darya: the bayview opera house is trying to help the family of a five year-old girl who was shot in the knee. marlena was struck by a stray bullet last month while she was walking home from school with her father and older sister. this happened it near the opera building. a 16 year-old boy was arrested in the case. they are still searching for a second suspect. the opera house has seen attendance drop since the shooting. >> this has impacted us in a big way. a lot of children who used to attend our programs are no longer feeling safe coming here because they have to walk on third street to get here.
