officer's role possessed saying there was a suspicious person inside. the suspect was passed out or sleeping outside of a hotel room. they made several attempts to weaken much. officer >> they were able to get the suspect to come to. he immediately presented a threat by grabbing a weapon that he was in possession of and at that point, officers fear for their lives and fired on the suspect. >>nichole: a hotel guest was staying nearby. police shot the suspect several times. he was taking to local hospital where he was treated and is expected to survive. investigators stayed on the same for hours in a new-line hotel guests and witnesses trying to piece together what initially led to the shooting. >>louisa: a murder suspect

>>louisa: they give for start your day with us on the kron4 morning this theory would have a lot of headlines. a quick check on weather and traffic. good morning. >>james: this is the golden gate bridge. slightly foggy but it is not terribly widespread. it is working its way up the coastline. we're looking for temperatures to slowly decrease by a few degrees as we head towards sunrise. we are otherwise ok. cooler temperatures this afternoon compared to yesterday. around the coast, the '60s and '70s. a tight range of temperatures this afternoon. a big difference from yesterday. here is where temperatures are at the moment. 56 and concord, 61 and antioch. everyone is grouped together in the '50s and '60s. it is slightly

also looks good. the volume has picked up a bit. we're looking west work towards a high-rise. on the golden gate bridge, 101 southbound, we have not seen this for a few days. fog on the inbound drive. the crews are changing over the configuration of the lanes and adding a fourth lane southbound. in east bay check started off on interstate 80 westbound, highway 24 looks good. the ride on 580 westbound is still a problem free coming towards dublin in castro valley. south bay freeways are very light. this same is true for the north bay. we're looking at under 25 minutes for a drive time from nevada to the golden gate bridge.
