bay and east bay hills. a quick look at where thefog product is around the bay area. currently we do not have any. but as we take a look at this for temperatures--your current temperatures, we have temperatures in the forties and fifties around the bay area. it is a little warmer for some of our east bay locations. 51 degrees currently for those in hayward. as we take it into the afternoon and the morning hours by 8:00 a.m., i have said the future passed for 8:00 a.m. you can see a lot of the 40's hanging on with us as we progress in to the later part in the afternoon. by lunch time you'll see more green and yellow on your screen indicating '60s and '70s around the bay area. by 3:00 p.m. you will see a lot of yellow on the screen indicating low '70s for pretty much everybody. a quick break down at exactly where the temperatures will

go neighborhood by neighborhood we are really all assembled this afternoon. it is 70 degrees expected for half moon bay the same oakland. up into the north bay we will see some warmer temperatures. we have 70 for downtown san francisco and 74 for those in vallejo. your seven there around the bay forecast shows a lot of mild weather on tap for the next couple of days. take a look at a tight range of temperatures, really there is no dam--no difference in your inland and bay area to the jurors. as we take a look at traffic, we have no hot spots to tell you about. the approach to the bay bridge toll plaza looks fine. traffic moving well from all three of the approaches. the san mateo bridge, i have been watching this camera and we have seen some gusty conditions the chp has not issued any

yesterday and what is the difference? >>reporter: you can see compared to yesterday that is made police officers as it was compared to yesterday. they are still here with the barricade set up. you do not see as many processors here, perhaps they are sleeping right now but they vow to be able to come that they need to send a message to the oakland city hall members their goal is to take that encampment and they said they will not stop until they do so. there are signed and being hung the from this place one says no police violence. they claim that what the police officers did yesterday was excessive that it was unnecessary for them to go in using teargas and beanbags to try and dispersed the crowd. we had a chance to talk with the oakland police department and they said they initially told them they had to leave this place. they told him

two days before they move in that they needed to leave. of course they did not, and that is what escalate this situation starting 24 hours ago and well into the night. the good news as far as the traffic they did not block off or they are not blocking off broadway and 14th. some cars are allowed to go through for now. we do not know what will happen as the morning progresses. perhaps they will shut off the area like they did yesterday to control the area. another piece of good news is it seems like everyone for now is huddled in this area. they have not gone out to surrounding blocks or surrounding communities and done damage. that was a concern yesterday that is why we had the police officers out basically surrounding them so that they do not go beyond the police officers. so it is the community here has not been vandalized and everything for now is in one piece.

>>james: as 11:00 p.m. last night we were still getting word that the 12th street bart station was actually closed. you can see the interest from there we will check with you to see if whether or not the station will be in service today. >>justine: our team coverage continues with kron4 to our stone was stationed in the plaza late into the night. >>reporter: with a camera in hand, i went to the streets marching with protesters for more than four hours. there were times when it was not pretty. in this shot you can see protesters clashing with the police. they're upset over the officers arresting at least one man in the crowd. fights begin to break out between officers and protesters. back up was called in and then within minutes this look like a war zone. some were being dragged out and teargas and bean bag guns were fired.

students will march against school closures. the oakland school board is to vote on whether to close five elementary schools. we have a list of those schools and we will put them up on the screen for you. the school district has announced plans to close some 30 schools within the next few years. the first round of closure is expected to save the district a little more than $2 million. >>justine: we have a red flag warning in effect for some sections of the bay area. in the oakland hills, the fire crews will be on heightened alert in case any flames start up. we will turn our attention to erica was here with not only are traffic report but also with whether on this wednesday morning good morning erica. >>erica: the morning justin in the big story is a red flag warning that is currently in effect. it went into effect around 6:00

a.m.. all the areas in of that are highlighted in red. they're under the red flag warning. we will see winds between 15 and 25 mph as best as we head into the afternoon hours. the wind gusts about 45 mi. per hour. i will show you that in just one minute. of this translates into a high fire danger for the north bay and the east bay hills. let us take a look at where the wind speed will go. this is actually one of the highest points today. you can see fairfield is getting up to 27 mph. the wind gusts up to 30 mouse power. it is pretty gusty down in san jose. we see the wind speeds of up to 35 mi. per hour by 6:00 a.m. as we advance o'clock closer to lunchtime you can see similar conditions. the wind speeds up to 26 mouse power and 13 mph for santa rosa. most of us drop the bay area will mostly likely notice the

cooler temperatures. they're holding on to the low 40's for our north bay locations. as we head into the afternoon hours, we will work our way into the low '70s pretty much everywhere across the board getting up to 70 degrees for oakland the same goes for half moon bay. 72 is the common number for places like livermore, fremont and san jose. up to the north bay we will see some warmer temperatures this afternoon. santa rosa is coming in at 77, and 71 from richmond. the seven day around the bay forecast highlights of a mild weather week on tap for the next couple days. we have windy conditions for wednesday and into thursday morning we will have plenty of sunshine as we head into the afternoon once again we're working with a tight ranges of temperatures in the low '70s for both your bay and in the locations and the upper 60s along the coast.

clear up. we are looking for clear skies but dry and windy this afternoon. let us walk you through the headlines for today. we have scattered clouds this morning, wendy and clear and warm this afternoon. we want to emphasize windy. the red flag warning is in affect. power in the spots to warm up to the mid-70s today. it is slightly warmer than yesterday. let us take a quick look at the details on this a red flag warning as we switch to our map. the wind is gusting up to 45 mouth are we're mainly talking of the north bay hills in the east bay hills. those are the two areas that we are primarily concerned about. the fire danger is on the high side for today. here's a look at future cast. looking at the wind, the numbers indicate sustained winds. the colors in the background indicate the gusty conditions that we can expect. we are looking for the win to be sustained
