day around the bay forecast highlights a lot of changes as we head into the next couple of days. we have dry winds as we head into tuesday and wednesday. thursday we have a slight chance of rain. i will highlight that and the later part of the broadcast. temperatures are struggling to get out of the low 60s and that is for your inland locations by the weekend. as for traffic on this monday morning here is a live look at the bay bridge incline.

no hot spots to tell you about. we are seeing some stalls and solo accidents. none of them are affecting your ride this morning. on highway 92, no delay whatsoever towards the toll plaza. the drive time is running at about 14 minutes from in to end. over into the golden gate bridge we go. there is no dense fog advisory issued just yet. certainly dry with extra caution and be mindful of the cars in front of you. i do want to turn our attention to the traffic map. i want to highlight conditions in the east bay. it is all green on your screen for your ride coming out of pittsburgh. highway 4 looked good. south bound 680 is a problem free. we have some overnight construction

between paul street in the effect until 8:00 a.m. this morning. >>james: oakland city officials cannot agree on what to do with the protesters camping in front of city hall. some city leaders want and go on while the mayor says that forcing them out could lead to more violent clashes. for now being kama and frank ogawa plaza growth by the hour. at last count there were more than 120 tents set up. we have the latest on this demonstration. >>reporter: 8 pretty mellow sunday no marches, no major rally and no drama. this comes after saturday night's march and scrimmage between the protesters in the oakland police officers. hundreds of protesters marched to the police department to express their frustration about tuesday's crackdown. they believe the police officers used excessive force. they did not make it all into the police department, the

protesters eventually turned around and left because they were met by a large group of the police apartment. the mayor says the city will return medical supplies to the protesters. police took the supplies during tuesday's crackdown. the medical supplies were not returned. >>justine: those protests reached a violent clash on tuesday. this was tuesday night. this is when the police were trying to remove the encampment. now some protesters are worrying that did tuesday's clash is overshadowing the occupy protest movement. >>reporter: in the montclair district many residents feel the violent clash between oakland police and the occupy protesters was unnecessary outside city hall earlier this week. this

did the police raid only added more steam to the anti wall street movement. some tell me they are also upset with the mayor and her inability to make a decision as to where the demonstrators can stay at frank ogawa plaza. >> i think tuesday did not overshadow the protests it does make it stronger. we are the 6th most dangerous city in the nation. she has not exercised her position as mayor. she has taken positions that's either good or not, make a decision and stick with your decision. >> i have definitely been supportive of the movement at the same time the violence in oakland has shifted attention away from the initial message, the violence that was really uncalled for and she, by letting the protesters comeback has shown that she cannot leave this city. >> i think it has helped

the message because the cities around united states have picked up on what occurred on tuesday night. i definitely think she is an incompetent manner.--mayor. >> the occupy movement is very strong and percentage--persistent on knowing what they want. i actually voted for her and i feel that she is a strong figure for our city barrasso thing that this is a learning lesson of the job and things happen that happened unexpectedly and i hope that she will put together. >>justine: as the occupy process continue to grow around the country the rest are now being recorded, this is video from denver last not--last night. their arrest made in portland and

nashville. 38 people were taken into custody in austin. >>james: another big story a surfer is recovering after being attacked by a great white shark. he was bent on the neck and on saturday at moderate beach. he is currently said to be in good condition eye witnesses are speaking out about the details of the frightening attack. maureen kelly has the story. >> the wave came, and then key to start yelling shark, shark! >>reporter: brennan and his friend had only been in a moderate warders a few minutes when the attack happened. >> i looked over and i conceded his arm was bleeding badly. >>justine: it also bit his neck and the board, you can see the 19 into bite mark in the photograph. officials estimate the shark that did this could be as big as 20 ft. long.

weather. police say--- >>james: let us take a look at the weather and some traffic with erica. >>erica: good morning james r. want to focus in on the weather this morning as he take a look at the conditions of the james lick freeway this morning. it is a soggy start, most people along the coastline will notice that right outside the door. we have clear and breezy conditions as you head out to trick or treat this evening. i will have more details coming up in a little bit. we have a slight chance of rain as we head into the latter part of the week but will not be a washout by any stretch of the imagination. you can see the fog forming along the coastline through portions of the north bay. 101, we are dealing with limited visibility. if you're driving on the road we watcher speed and be mindful of the cars in front of you. one thing we are noticing is that the

temperatures are on mouse side and we're not dealing with any thirties' at this hour. santa rosa is pretty warm compared to where we were last week. over in the east bay it is currently 56 degrees for those in oakland. mouth and he was one of our warmer spots coming in at 59 degrees for the current hour. as we take these temperatures into the afternoon, neighborhood by neighborhood we will see '60s and '70s out there by 3:00 p.m.. >>erica: now i do want to take a look at your special trick or treat forecast as we head into this evening as you get outside the door with those costumes, you will see mainly clear skies the wind is a little breezy between 5 mph and 15 mph.

temperatures along the coast will be in the low 60s and low '70s for some of the inland locations. as you wrap up and ran all that can be home, you will see temperatures cooling down to about 55 degrees along the coastline and 62 degrees for some of the war in the areas. this is a quick reminder that sunset begins at 6:11 p.m. this evening. as we head into the next couple of days the temperatures will cool down day by day as we head into tuesday and wednesday. we will deal with some dry wind out there. a fire where the watch has been issued for the two days. by thursday we have a chance for showers temperatures are cooling in the low sixties for your inland and it bay locations. i do want to turn your attention to the hot spot. this roadway is blocked i believe in the past couple minutes the number one lane has just been opened, but the chp has

mindful of the cars in front of you. >>justine: most of us to not think twice about using plastic bags, now millions of them are ending up in the pacific ocean there now only harmful to marine life but experts say that they're harmful to us. here is the impact just off of our state's coastline. [music] >> normally on boats like this you are out looking for dauphin's or fish, but today is grocery bags. we are fishing for plastic bags. >> my fishing partner is dr. mark erickson who has a ph.d. in nature education. he studies the amount an impact of plastic debris in the ocean. after successfully fishing the surface we wondered what

[music] >> the water looks pretty clear but i never know what is lying underneath. the bags that we found do more than just litter the ocean floor. this to the marine mammal center its staff and volunteers rescue and rehabilitate sick and injured animals. >> he is not very responsive, he will get an initial inspection. wells, see lions and dolphins in my personal experience i have seen all those animals with bags in tempe--them. >> if they swallow a plastic bag could this kill them?

monday morning it is 4:30 a.m. but first we have today's forecast. good morning erica. >>erica: good morning to you, now we take this live look from our mount tancam. you will see patchy fog extending to the latter part of the morning. this afternoon we will see temperatures slightly cooler than where they were yesterday. for the most part everyone is sitting in to the '70s. the clouds will return with temperatures in the '50's and 40's. i want to show you where the temperatures local--will go by 3:00 p.m.. it will be a lot cooler along the coastline. half moon bay is only coming in at 64 degrees. as we take you up to the north bay a lot of '70s here. it is pretty one

for santa rosa coming in at 77 degrees. it is 10 degrees cooler for downtown san francisco. we do have a fire weather watch in effect as we head into tomorrow morning lasting through wednesday. this will affect the north bay and the east bay hills above 1,000 ft.. the wind will gust up to about 40 mouse power and the humidity is less than 20%. the threat does exist for fire and all of the places highlighted in on for the next couple of days so certainly be aware of that. we do have some wet weather in the forecast. as we advance the clock closer to 12:00 p.m. on thursday it looks like everyone will get a dose of the wet weather. we will not see clearing until about 8:00 a.m. on friday. i do want to show

your seven day around the bay forecast. we will trail off in temperatures day by day as we head into the next part of the weekend. showers for thursday and friday are cooler conditions. the temperatures are only getting into the low sixties for your inland areas the same goes for the bay locations in the mid to upper 50s along the coast. i do want to update your hot spot down in the south bay. the connector to north bound 280, currently two of the lanes are block right now. the chp hopes to have the accident cleared within the next 30 minutes. we do not see too much in a way of a slowdown. we have a live crew headed to the scene and an overturned is involved we

[music] >> darya: good morning are developing stories out of oakland and the city said they have located medical supplies belonging to protesters. there they plan some time this morning to do something about that. you can see the video as protesters say the supplies had been removed by the police during a raid that happened last tuesday. will tran is at the occupy oakland encampment and takes a look at what is going on. >>reporter: this entire plaza is covered in tents. this place even has its own private security with protesters running around and bicycles to monitor the situation. there will be a rally here tomorrow night by youth groups the let
